True... Guns are here... now what..? Why assault rifles are available to the public is to level the playing field in times of real emergency. How are you going to keep the starving poor people out of your grain stash when food trucks stop going out... with a few pistols..? If society was breaking down around me (insolvent republic or natural disaster aftermath) I would want some serious stopping power. Having a .45 in the kitchen and the nightstand is great for burglaries but won't stop a wave of starving people from cleaning you out and having your wife. Anything short of barring gun sales and disarming the country with X-ray devices to find guns hidden in walls will lead to more of this. If we can't secure the borders than guns will just keep flowing into the country and into the hands of people who don't acknowledge law. If guns are taken out of the hands of the average citizen gun terror will skyrocket. The CO. shooter chose that theater as did the VA. Tech shooter because those were ''Gun-free zones''... What if America becomes a gunfree zone...?
