This question and the answer choices give pause to think. It is forgotten that perhaps during the end of his Presidency, Ronald Reagan may have been in the early stages of Alzheimer's. It is certain that at the end of his life Ronald Reagan was suffering from Alzheimer's disease. So would he endorse a candidate independent of his wife? Not sure.

And Romney has a problem with giving illegals amnesty like Reagan did. Plus Romney as governor of the bluest of blue states managed to do something Reagan didn't do: Romney BALANCED THE BUDGET several times. Plus he dod so WITHOUT RAISING TAXES!

Ron Paul's a great armchair quarterback, but Romney's "been there and done that."

He voiced a great respect for Ron Paul ... I don't think he would change his mind as Ron Paul has been consistent in his direction and constitutional strengths.

With (a living and healthy) Reagan's pre -primary/caucus endorsement, Ron Paul would have had a much better MSM coverage and a greater opportunity at getting the nomination.

I like Ron Paul on most issues, but he's way too soft on upholding the Constitution when it comes to DOMESTIC national defense, a core principle of the Constitution.

I'm hoping that either Romney picks Rand Paul as his VP, or appoints Ron Paul as his Secretary of the Treasury, with power over the Federal Reserve. But no one as soft as RP is on illegal aliens and Islamic encroachment deserves to be in the White House.

Taht first sentence is absolutely incorrect. Ron Paul is very strong on domestic national defense, that is why he wants ALL our troops here at home (excepting only guards at our embassies), where they CAN protect us instead of being spread all over the world where they are relatively useless at protecting our own shores.
