Nancy Pelosi Gets Breitbarted!
Right Wing Blog World is alive and well. Earlier today Andrew Breitbart, the man behind the slanderous attacks on Shirley Sherrod and the NAACP and one of the key figures in the numerous frauds committed to destroy the consumer advocacy group Acorn, published a story purportedly claiming that Nancy Pelosi has no desire to remain in Congress and is only doing so at the behest of several large donors. The Breitbart story appears to quote Pelosi's daughter Alexandra, but given Breitbart's track record that claim is dubious at best. In any event, a spokesman for Ms. Pelosi confirmed today that the Minority Leader has no plans to leave Congress. Given the growing likelihood that Ms. Pelosi will return to the Speaker's Chair in January, it looks like Mr. Breitbart and the ignorant sheep that follow him are off in fantasyland once again.

Nancy Pelosi spokesman Nadeam Elshami disputed Alexandra Pelosi's claim on Thursday in a statement to Politico.
"This may be wishful thinking on the part of a right-wing blog but it is totally untrue," Elshami said. "When the day comes and Leader Pelosi's work is done, she won't be announcing it there."

Alexandra Pelosi, daughter of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), spoke with Andrew Breitbart's Big Government blog this week and said that her mother is pining for retirement.
"She would retire right now, if the donors she has didn't want her to stay so badly. They know she wants to leave, though. They think she's destined for [greatness]," the younger Pelosi said. "She has very few days left. She's 71, she wants to have a life, she's done. It's obligation, that's all I'm saying.
Pelosi later clarified that she has never discussed the specifics of this claim with her mother.
Nancy Pelosi lost her position as speaker of the House to John Boehner (R-Ohio) after the 2010 midterm elections, in which Republicans experienced widespread gains and took back majority control of the House. She quickly announced that she would run for the top position in House Democratic leadership, and, despite the emergence of some rifts between liberal and moderate Democrats, was elected to as House minority leader by her colleagues.
Democrats, including Pelosi herself, have said they believe the party has a chance to reclaim control of the House in the 2012 elections. As Big Government points out, President Barack Obama has also heaped praise on Pelosi's performance as speaker of the House and said he expects that "she will be the best speaker of the House again in 2013."
Alexandra Pelosi is a documentary filmmaker and television producer. She's directed political films such as "Journeys With George," a documentary about George W. Bush's 2000 presidential campaign, and "Friends of God: A Road Trip with Alexandra Pelosi," a documentary about the influence of fundamentalist evangelical Christians on Republicans and conservative voters ahead of the 2008 elections.

Bill Gates, like every other large corporation leader (although I believe he is no longer personally running Microsoft), uses the tax code and loopholes that are available to him. The problem is that the Republicans in Washington have so distorted our tax code and financial regulations that they have made outsourcing American jobs more profitable than investing at home. Fix the tax code, reimpose Glass-Steagall and the Sherman Antitrust Act, stop obstructing anything that rewards American business for investment in America and the jobs will stop going to China.
George Soros' only involvement in American politics is financial donations to causes and candidates he supports. Just like you do. Just like I do. He does not run his own attack ads the way the Koch Brothers do. He has not formed a "superPAC" to evade any restraint on meddling with fair elections.
