Is this picture of a giant light beam coming out of a Mayan pyramid proof that the 2012 prophecies are real?
I don't know what this guy is saying, but the story is that a guy took this picture of El Castillo, a pyramid is Chichen Itza, Mexico, that once served as a sacred temple to the Mayan god Kukulkan. As you can see, the beam is not normal. Is this a sign? Is 2012 our last year on earth? Is this the end for us all?

The photograph was taken by a tourist who took dozens of pictures with his iPhone of a storm in the background of the mayan temple hoping to get a good photo of lightning in the background. And he did just that, he got a great shot of lightning right in back of the temple that looked like it was coming out of the temple, but it was in fact behind the temple by half a mile, and the lightning when distorted by the lens of the iPhone looked as if Mayan ghosts had been inspired by Las Vegas' Luxor Casino, and emanate a shaft of light from its apex to the heavens, Lol, and bravo to the mayan gods, Lol.
Oh something is coming the end of this year alright, but it won't be doom and gloom, it will be a new movie by Roland Emmerich, like the movie "2012" , and it will be a thriller, and that's why all the Hoopla about the Mayan calender was twisted to make you believe, because Roland Emmerich want's YOU to buy tickets to his latest movie, Lol, Lol, Lol, Suckers!!!!!!
Hardly anything like your Nikon camera.
But this year I am going to wait until after Dec 21 to do my Christmas shopping though. No use taking the time and spending the money if the world is going to end before Christmas. I might be kind of pissed on the 22nd if I have to rush to do the last minute shopping. It won't be much different from any other year- but I'll have an excuse this time!
But, let's assume for a minute that it was some sort of signal to an alien space ship. Why is that necessarily bad? What if there were some benevolent alien species coming to help, or establish peaceful contact?
