Poor voting choices. I actually find it the other way around. Living in Alabama as a left-leaning libertarian. Republicans and conservatives constantly bash any ideas outside of their comfort zone. Are unwilling and uncompromising when it comes to changing their believes or opinions.

However living in Massachusetts. I hung around a wide assortment of liberals. We debated, we argued, however I find it absolutely fascinating that if I had a point, they would simply agree.

Simply put this way. When I moved back and started talking about the stories that I had in Massachusetts. Like, the times that I was hanging out with some friends and a few of them were gay blah, blah, blah.

You know what the response was from these wonderful conservatives here in Alabama. "I could never hang out with queers."

Really? Open minded? Kind? Generous? I have never met a Republican that WASN'T a bigot and a hypocrite. Not saying that liberals can't be the same, I have met them. However on the whole, most liberals seem to be able to accept that they may be wrong, that their view is hypocritical and are not unwavering in trying to figure out how it's so.

WHILE YOUR EXPERIENCE IS DIFFERENT FROM MY OBSERVATION, WE ARE A TOLERANT BUNCH AND ONLY ASK THE SAME.

Well, when I moved to Mass I was a conservative. I didn't completely turn Liberal, however seeing what I ignored before, it's why I left the party and the conservative ideology behind.

Maybe one day my views will change yet again.

WHILE I DON'T CONDONE THE CLOSE MINDED ATTITUDE, I WOULD SUGGEST YOU LOOK AT THE RECENT WISCONSIN RECALL ATTEMPT. THE ENDLESS CASTIGATING OF THE GOVERNOR, THE OPEN THREATS TO THE LT. GOVERNOR . THE DEPICTIONS OF ANYONE WHO DID NOT AGREE WAS WORSE THAN HITLER...MAKES YOUR ALABAMA EXPERIENCE SEEM MILD.

Oh your right, they are out there, not saying they are not. However I do limit my exposure to MSM for the very fact of how they blew the tea party out of proportion same with the OWS movement.

They refuse to admit blatant media bias/complicity, they have no problem AT ALL with double standards, they apologize for our country, they want *everyone* to stop doing things they don't want to do and they tend to be humorless, sanctimonious prats who feel their little causes are above reproach or ridicule.

Plus, they're expensive... and the grownups always have to pick up the tab for their largess.

Obviously, I'm not talking about moderates. Most Liberals seem to be reasonable and mature-- it's the vocal minority that give me a headache.
