MSNBC's Scarborough: Maher’s Latest Comment ‘Bad News' for Dems

snipe 2012/04/17 16:39:23
Does Maher really think he's helping his man crush by saying all the stupid things he does! Hey, barack, give back the million!

Liberal comedian Bill Maher has again made an insulting comment about a
prominent Republican woman, and it could come back to bite the Democrats, says
Joe Scarborough, host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

On his HBO show, “Real
Time,” Friday, Maher, who donated $1 million to the super PAC supporting
President Barack Obama, discussed Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen’s recent
remark that Ann Romney, wife
of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, “never worked a day in her
life,” Politico
reports
.

Obama quickly distanced himself from the comment, and Rosen
was forced to apologize. But Maher just doubled down on the insulting words,
according to Politico. “What she meant to say, I think, was that Ann Romney has
never gotten her ass out of the house to work,” Maher said.

The Obama
camp moved quickly to separate itself from Maher’s comments too. “The White
House must know this is bad news for Democrats ... if they don’t handle it
correctly,” Scarborough said.

“This is fascinating, because Bill Maher
has said some extraordinarily insensitive things in the past, and the White
House has ignored it. ... Notice how quickly they jumped out and distanced
themselves, which tells me that they’re really seeing in the polls that this
does matter”

Maher previously has made lewd, demeaning comments about
former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. His $1 million donation to Priorities USA Action
makes him the largest contributor to the super PAC.

The fact that Obama hasn't given back the Million Dollars that Maher has given him, shows the World just what kind of Character he has. NONE.

Ann Romney should get her ass out to work. Her own husband has endorsed this policy and all she is doing is living off the tax payer when they make all that money and pay only 13.9% tax rate. She could be doing volunteer work or maybe quit being so smug about thinking she and roboMitt are going to win the White House. Remember it isn't over till the fat rich lady sings. Ann Romney is a troll.

Character assassination is in fact the election mantra from those on the left and with a complicit media have destroyed many folk's lives simply for political expediency.

Seems the folks are beginning to understand that these dispersions they cast on others are but a shadow cast from their on black heart and is indeed a character flaw that they themselves possess.

I'm not a babbling LIB but I kinda agree; there is a HUGE difference in working women and stay at home Moms as a matter of fact, when Moms began to trade nurturing for hard hats and bulldozers was when our nuclear family began to fall apart. Look at the kids nowadays.

Thank you; you kinda prove my point. Not 1962???? but women still do trade the Motherly duties for jobs. They still let xBox, Gameboy, and iPads sedate the kids so they don't have to deal with all that "mother"stuff. If gadgets don't sedate the kids then put them on some government drug and call it a disorder; anything to get the mother out of the house. I think it's diffferent withworking women that don't have kids; that have a career, it is different than a woman that stayed home with ther kids. Do you not think they are different?

Obama said he cared. He said what Limbaugh said to Fluke wasn't right and he was compelled to call her and say she was doing a good job. He said he wanted CIVIL discourse...

Of course, he never called Palin, Ann Romney, Ingraham or Malkin saying he wanted civil discourse for them. He never said that what Maher, Schultz, Olberman and Beckel say to conservative women.

He's proven he doesn't really want civil discourse and he's ok with misogyny as long as it's not target towards liberals, so a lot of us care.

I can dis agree with Obama - we allow that on the left. Fluke is an adult and put her self in the public eye and Rush as a Buffoon entertainer took advantage of that. Not nice but if people don't like what Rush says then they can turn the channel as I always do when I hear Rush. Too much time was spent defending the silly attack on Fluke as opposed to discussing the issue - access to health care.
