Is this really the President You want?
Obama shows that he believes no one can accomplish anything on their own without his precious government; he shows his contempt for the middle class and the small business owner.
That sound you hear is silence—as millions of small business owners and entrepreneurs were left speechless this weekend from President Obama’s latest insult.
The slap in the face to hard-working Americans conveyed Obama’s belief that it takes a village—a heavily subsidized village—to create that venture you’re profiting from:
"Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business—you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen."
Obama pushed his policy goals of infrastructure (aka stimulus) spending and “government research” as part of a collectivist utopia “doing things together.” It’s simply stunning that he would tell Americans, “If you’ve got a business—you didn’t build that.”
After all, could individuals be resourceful and hard-working enough to create whole new enterprises? Obama said:
"Look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it mu...

It is this view of successful businesses—essentially, “You owe us”—that drives Obama’s continued attacks on the country’s job creators in the form of tax hikes and regulations.

still thinking, lol!
lol!
That's no justification for forced redistribution of other people's property, but Obama's still correct. It doesn't happen often, so give the socialist his due.
Fact is I don't believe even the most fiercely independent and hardest working of entrepreneurs got to where s/he is without help from others. No, that doesn't justify forced redistribution of a person's property, but in a real sense we're all welfare recipients.
Hey. I figured I owed it to ya to be honest. :-)
What is the result of inaction? You don't succeed at anything.
Therefore, one's success is directly related to how hard and how smart one works.
But ultimately, this is a very fine point and something that we should be discussing over a few pints at the pub.
But I never suggested an individual could become a success without work. I said s/he couldn't do it by him/herself.
You are right. And you know what I meant. :-)
Well put!
I don't want to spoil my evening by going into the details. This socialist pres makes me nauseated.

What he was plainly saying is that every business depends on the infrastructure that society as a whole provides. Nobody creates wealth by himself.
Thus, there's nothing unreasonable about asking those who have profited much from paying an extra share of taxes. Perfectly accurate.
