It's effect and implications have been much farther reaching and much worse actually than the holocaust. Plus the seeds of the modern abortion movement were drawn from the philosophy that led to the holocaust (eugenics).

To compare the biggest atrocity in the history of the world designed to eradicate an entire race of people with a deeply personal choice on whether or not to become a parent is in it self an atrocity. Such a stupid thing to do.

Not even close!! Hitler was on psycho killing millions for his own beliefs. Abortion is each individual making a choice for themselves. There is no comparison and I would be pissed if I found out this was being taught to my children!

Hmmm...NO...not even close. While I would personally NEVER get an abortion, abortions are not the same as the torture and death the occured during the holocaust.

That being said, I would also like to state that I am strongly against second trimester abortions, especially lat second trimester abortions for any reasons (except if the mother is in physical danger carrying the baby). Babies in the second trimester are developed enough to suffer during an abortion...they are no longer a bundle of cells...they are a baby.... once you hit the end of the second trimester, the baby would actually have a chance of surviving outside the womb..... :-(

It is absolutely NOTHING like the Holocaust and it is an insult to those who were greatly affected by the Holocaust that they trivialize it for their own ends. If I were one of those parents I would sue them.

Perhaps I am not really sure, but I recall the holocaust was the extermination of several races by a Fascist Government and abortion is a medical procedure to remove an unwanted parasite at a patients request.

The ignorance/naivety and sheer destructive nature of the majority of people who can't fathom the comparison is sickening. Abortion's nature is just that: To destroy/end the process of development unto birth. These births already emerged from a catalyst which started the chain of events that would result in a born life-form: Baby.

If you can't grasp the simple nature of why people have abortions, perhaps you should grow a brain: the whole act is to prevent a live-form that was already in the process of developing to be terminated; had this life-form been able to continue throughout the process, a baby would of been born: this is indisputable.

What did you believe: A baby will have been borne who lacked a soul, thoughts, self-awareness, and that these possible lives could be born lacking these qualities? How absurd and preposterous to think that the consequences of stopping the perpetuation of life isn't the detriment of possible lives from existing in our world: THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT... And this is done on a mass/extreme scale.

Holocaust: A moment in history where the Jewish people (as well as other "outcasts" at the time") were gathered up in concentration camps in Nazi Germany and 6 million Jewish people in total were slaughtered in ways no better than animals. It was a very dark moment in history.
How extactly does this connect to abortion?
First off, there is a moment in pregancy where doctors refuse to abort a baby because of its rate in development (heart, brain, etc, etc). Doctors will only abort fetus'. Not actual babies. Second, there are people who either can't afford to raise a child, can't raise the child properly, child isn't wanted, child was brought into being through rape, etc, etc.
I'm sorry if I started to ramble, but really, how does this connect to abortion? And connect to one of the most horrible moments in history? Really people?

Referring to abortions as a holocaust, or even akin to the holocaust, doesn’t mean you care about embryos. All it shows is that you have no historical conception or contextual knowledge or basic human empathy for the victims/survivors of the Holocaust.

Abortion: Aborting a fetus due to personal reasons such as: Can't afford the child, wouldn't raise the child right, don't want the child, or the child was conceived by rape, and having the child developing in your womb reminds you of the attack.

Holocaust: The torture/murder of millions of innocent people due to things such as their religion, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc.

There are uncanny parallels between what the Nazis were doing with eugenics and what the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, was attempting to do. So, yes, these two issues have similarities that are uncomfortably similar.

Her eugenics beliefs mostly concerned the able minded (mentally impaired). She did believe lighter skin was superior, but did not tolerate bigotry. While she was as racist as most were in the very early 1900's, but she was no Hitler. She never condoned killing anyone, and she thought Nazi Germany's actions were barbaric (stated publicly).
