I've said this so many times I should just copy and paste it. Romney is a leader, and has talked about business, politics and the economy ALL of his adult life. He is grounded in America, has a great family...parents and children included.
Obama is from a broken family, has many unanswered questions and allegiances. He has never worked in the private sector, or run a business. He's at a huge disadvantage!

Osavior got smoked. He can't defend his economic policies, his health care takeover, his foreign policy, his "D list" administration, his failed stimulus....... the list goes on. Now, Romney needs to be prepared to handle Obama in the next debate. We all know Obama is going to use that time to attempt to rebut last night's discussion.

Typical Liberal, you didn't even watch the debate, but yet you couldn't resist the urge to spew a negative opinion about "Mittens" because you know so much about him? 60 plus MILLION Americans took the time to watch that debate because they care about our country and this crucial election. You're on here a lot spewing your political opinions against conservatives..but don't have a clue that you just outed yourself as one of those Liberals who doesn't actually follow politics in depth and just get your info about Romney from what you hear about him...pathetic. Your opinions are irrelevant, since you obviously do NOT follow politics in depth.

I predicted in answer to a past question here about the future debate winner that Romney would win. After seeing Obama's performance in the 2008 debate with McCain, moderated, by Rick Warren, I knew that Obama would be at a big disadvantage with no teleprompter and his unfortunate tendency to succumb to "uh's" and "um's" without the help of the teleprompter. Obama's performance last night was what I expected.

I also wondered if he may have taken a drug like Xanax or Valium or some type of tranquillizing drug to control nerves and the stress. I've seen other "performers" affected by those types of drugs by slowing of thought processes and creating feelings of indifference. It seems very strange that he made no effort to rebut Romney's assertions with which he disagreed at the time. Then the next day he and his Democratic comrades were alleging that Romney lied. If he was thinking that, why didn't he say it during the debate to give Romney a chance to clarify and defend? Well, I guess I just answered my own question. He didn't want to give Romney a chance to respond to allegations that he was lying because Obama's assertions would be disproved.

Every response from Romney was clear and concise. obama, stuttered and rambled, in addition, he often sounded whinny and petulant. I think the fact that no one was applauding threw him off his game....also the fact that he didn't have a telepromter telling him what to say.

We got rid of Jim Crow Laws Long ago. This is just a way to Limit some peoples votes. Very few Votes are from people who don't have the right to vote. We need a CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT to clean up money in our government. Make One Voting Law for All the States. We don't need 50 laws for the Our Nation's Election. The Politicians Like to Play around with this stuff to Better Their changes. One Paper Vote for each Voter. Who gives what to who. No more Games with the right to Vote!

Romney was able to debate without the teleprompter crutch -It was all too obvious that Obama vainly scanned over his notes for answers and arguments that Romney easily smacked down.

Romney went easy on the Fraud this time -He could have buried Obama with a list of the current regime's documented failures but he kept it simple...this time.

This was a minor skirmish. The next time will be a full battle and Romney doesn't have the baggage of an overblown ego fed by an army of yes men and coddling court eunuchs.

The only reason people are calling him a winner is because he stayed on the offense. But he was vague and dishonest (and a little rude!) Obama had more specifics.

awwww did obama get his feelings hurt? Listen up, obama is supposed to be the president, if he can't take what you call 'rude' then he has no business being in the Oval office.

Not rude to Obama- rude to the moderator. I'm not usually the type to attack the candidate themselves, but Romney was being flat-out disrespectful.

And obama wasn't? obama kept going over his time so Romney had no choice but to 'bud in'. obamas answer mostly consisted of uh and oh. He wasted so much time with his stuttering on his answers that he used most of the allowed time. I watched this in action, so no, I am not taking any ones side. If Romney had not pushed back, he would not have been able to answer to obamas lies.
typical obama trick is to spew out half a dozen so called facts and keep talking so no one can answer them. Romeny knew that he had no choice but to push in. That is the moderators fault. He should have stopped obama. So, if you want disrespectufl, try calling those on it who really were disrespectufl....ie obama and the moderator.

Obama did go over his time, and he did get snappy with the "I had five seconds when you interrupted me" remark. But Romney was the one who was talking back to the moderator, interrupting him and speaking out of turn.

No, he wasn't 'speaking out ot turn', he was trying to get his turn. obama made some accusations (lies) and he wanted his time to refute them. Was it rude? I think it was more rude for the liberal moderator NOT to give him his time and forced him to demand his time. If he hadn't, I think the debate would have been less than it was, because only obama's stuttering speech would have been heard. Personally, I am glad that Romney showed some 'balls' and spoke up.
As for obama's rude remark of 5 seconds, he took over 1 minutes after that. Now that is what I call rude.

That's not how debates are formatted. Romney was taking extra turns and getting the last word on topics where he shouldn't have.

Are you really serious? Were you watching the debate, or is someone feeding you this? Let me ask you a question....if I said that you were a thief and a liar, wouldn't you want to defend yourself? Those were the times Romney pushed to get to answer those accusations. Unlike obama, Romney stated proven facts (most of the time) that can be checked. obama, on the other hand, just spewed lame stream media rhetoric. Didn't you hear Romney's comment about telling a lie so often people think it is the truth? (thats paraphrasing) That was in reference to obama 3 times saying Romney's tax plan was to cut 5 trillion dollars.
The truth is, obama had no control and without his teleprompter, couldn't say a sentence without a lot of uhs and mm. And I noticed something else, obama was pouting. Is that the demeanor of a president?
You should try going back and watch the debate. obama looked old and unprepared...That is why he lost the debate. If he would go to more meetings with his advisors instead of golfing or playing basketball....he could have done better.
