More manufacturing jobs created last month than any month this century, can republicans turn that into a turd sandwich too?

Tea in the Harbor 2012/02/04 02:11:03
1998, that was the last time that many manufacturing jobs were created in the United States. But there isn't any doubt in my mind that republicans will try somehow to cast that as evidence of failure.

Manufacturing jobs are good jobs, not minimum wage starve them while you work them jobs. They are the jobs an economy can be stabilized with.

In all, 243,000 private sector jobs were added to the economy in the 23rd straight month of job growth. That isn't quite enough to offset the 250,000+ public sector jobs chopped out of our economy by republican governors in the last year, or the hundreds of thousands more that were approved by the congress and cancelled by those same governors, but it's certainly a big step in the right direction.

The DOW closed higher today than it's been sine 2008, and the Nasdaq set a record as well. In fact, every number tracking the economy today shows positive growth at an increasing rate.

But we all know that the GOP will keep right on saying that the stimulus is failing, and they'll swear with their dying breath they believe it, even though every scrap of evidence says otherwise.

A President can only SIGN or VETO monetary legislation that hits his desk.

EVERY DOLLAR spent originates in the HOUSE, it's now run by REPUBLICANS.

The best times in recent America?

    WHEN REPUBLICANS WIN THE HOUSE.

They had it from 1995-2007, now they have it again AND their fiscal budgets JUST GOT STARTED A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO.

    Take that libbies.

The republicans in the Househave done nothing but obstruct the policies that are working. These jobs are the direct result of Obama's trade negotiations, (All those trips the cons have been whining about.) the long term effects of the stimulous bill, and the auto company bailout.

Cons have been pissing themselves over all of those things since their passage by a democratic congresss two years ago.

You must not know that the Senate has not passed a budget in over 1000 days, it's run by the liberals.

If you believe that it's ok to borrow $40 of every $100 we spend, you can have your conclusion, the voters will decide, even the dead ones on your side,

Actually, if you look at the real world it's the republicans who have committed the most voter fraud by far, and the most corruption. Gingrich is baing investigated for fraud in Virginia as we speak for fraudulent signatures on his nomination papers, and of course everyone knows that Okeef committed voter fraud in New Hampshire, he filmed it and thought that made it legal.

There are republicans in prison in California, Illinois, and Texas for corruption, as well as several on their way there in Wisconsin. Ensign in Nevada was forced to resign for corruption charges. Newt was run out of the house for corruption, apparently he's too crooked even for politicians but republican voters still love him.

    DEFLECTION DEFINED.

When a liberal can't handle facts, they go off on a RANT of their own.

SENATE FAILED TO PASS A BUDGET IN OVER 1000 DAYS.

Who will clean up after that one?

You know as well as I do that the Senate rules allow the minority party to stop legislation in it's tracks, even a single Senator can bring the nation's business to a stop.

The body is designed for abuse by malcontents, it isn't any suprise it's being used that way.

And while they had that, they passed health care reform, the stimulus program which included tax cuts for every working American, created an agency to protect consumers from financial fraud, expanded services to veterans, rebult the student loan program to put more money in student's pockets and less in those of lenders, saved the American auto industry, and reversed the course of the worst economic disaster since the Great Depression.

    I don't think that's a bad record at all.

Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio mostly, but other states also saw gains. Indiana may join Georgia soon, they just passed the type of "right to work" for nothing law that keeps the south in poverty.

I'm thinking they're going to rely more on the "yeah the economy is getting better but it has nothing to do with Obama" line.

Probably, but this particular group could also go with the "Ronald Reagn came back on a flying saucer and revived the economy because he loves us" line.

Not everybody could do that without looking out of character. LOL!

How can an improvement in the economy, even if you don't think it's big enough, be "too late"?

I'm sorry clarification is needed. It is too little and too late to garner my vote. Of course any positive move in the economy is a good thing. I wonder however how many on unemployment dropped off the end?

It doesn't matter what good stuff happens the Republicans won't pay attention to it because it is facts. And they don't like facts or truth.
