Any intelligent person knows this to be true..

In the scientific field of climate studies – which is informed by many different disciplines – the consensus is demonstrated by the number of scientists who have stopped arguing about what is causing climate change – and that’s nearly all of them. A survey of all peer-reviewed abstracts on the subject 'global climate change' published between 1993 and 2003 shows that not a single paper rejected the consensus position that global warming is man caused. 75% of the papers agreed with the consensus position while 25% made no comment either way, focusing on methods or paleoclimate analysis (Oreskes 2004).
More Americans convinced of climate change after extreme weather, Do you accept climate change?

On a wider note, it is a natural cycle of the Sun.
And I have to laugh at the conservative's non-scientifc defense. And that is the idea that because the planet warmed roughly 5 million years ago the fact that it's doing it again guarantees that this it is doing it for the same reason(s)--meaning it's purely cyclical. Pfffft!
Lastly, to the naysayers who claim to be worried about such things as leaving the national debt to their grandchildren, funny that they're not it the least worried about the planet being uninhabitable? If the scientists are right then you won't need to worry about the debt being paid by your grandchildren.
To them I ask, "What if you're wrong?"
While the US is burning up Northern Europe is drowning! The Jet Stream has drifted south and that's what's caused this episode.

"Climate Change" was a term used by the Bush administration as it sounds less threatening than "Global Warming". The climate always changes but I do believe that our activities are having an effect ... more heat, more energy, more extreme weather.

Some areas of the Earth are affected more than others and in many different ways.
Where the conversation departs from reality is pointing to specific cherry-picked 'data' and manipulating it to support an unsubstantiated theory that 'man' has any impact whatsoever on weather, climate, or can control them on a global scale.
Deal with it.
If you believe humans have an effect, give up all your worldly belongings, because they are all part of the problem you profess.
Live under the stars, naked.
You should accept climate change based on the vast body of scientific evidence collected all over the world over decades.
