Montana birthers find new way to show hateful side: Do you think this is right or wrong?

Are you making a comparison of a float, that I admit was in poor taste, but which obviously was created for a humorous response, and was no more over the top than some of the late night show comedian's (who are mostly liberal) jokes about Obama and members of his administration (and sometimes Michelle), to the death threats, that president Bush endured from the left during his eight years in Office?

Having served my Country, and now my Community, I fought and laid my life on the line so my fellow Americans could exorcise the right of free speech. Making fun of a president, or even challenging his Constitutional eligibility as president is one thing, and is a guaranteed right in our Constitution.

Threatening to hang, bomb, shoot or decapitate a president as shown in the photos that some members and I have posted, is a serious criminal offense.

Now if you want to talk about hate, and who perpetuates it, when my fellow Americans in Uniform returned from Vietnam (a war that a liberal president committed us to, and a liberal president mismanaged getting 58,000 of my fellow young Americans killed), we were spat on, yelled at, threatened and had containers of body waste thrown at us, not by conservatives, but by filthy liberal malcontents like Obama's good friend, and champion of liberal causes, Bill Ayers.

So please don't even attempt to tell me which side of the political and social scale harbors more genuine hate!

And just as a point of information, I firmly believe that Obama was born in the United States, but that fact makes me even madder. Knowing that a person could be born here in the United States, be brought up pampered and coddled, sent to the best schools our country has to offer, be taken in by politics, and quickly climbed up the ladder, becoming not only the president of the United States, but the first person of color to achieve that position, turns out to be the most destructive president that this Republic has ever seen, makes me ill.

There are numerous legitimate reasons to want Obama out of office, and this November those reasons will be the thing to get him his last trip on Air Force One in January, back to Chicago.

Once again you are reading into my comment things I did not put in there.

I never issued a challenge to YOU, I issued it to birthers. The chalenge was to find a legitimate reason to hate the president.

I never referred to you as a birther, I referred to you as a republican.

I never once declared myself a liberal in any fashion.

I never said whether or not YOU had reasons for getting Obama out.

I referred to you as a soldier because YOU referred to YOURSELF as one.

Your exact words. To "Serve" your country and to "Fight and lay your life on the line" means you fought in some war in some fashion. This makes you a soldier of some kind. If you are NOT a soldier, then you are using entirely the wrong words.

And before you go spouting off "Army has soldiers! Not the Navy!" That is just semantics and doesn't matter. "Soldier" was referring to your mention of military status, I couldn't care less what branch you served in.

[But that's OK.. I wouldn't expect an overweight, 26 year old atheist with just a HS education, whose whole world revolves around computer games, to recognize Branches of the United States Military.]

And this would be a logical fallacy, in more ways than one.

First, you assume that because I am overweight, I am somehow less intelligent. Then you assume the same thing because of my age, then my religious standing, then my public education level, then my love of computer games. None of this has anything to do with my intelligence level. My IQ happens to be near that of Einstein himself, although that doesn't matter either.

What does matter is how your intelligence is applied. I apply my intelligence by looking at facts and considering them. You, however, look at something that you think offends you, then go out of your way to make things up in order to be even more offended by what actually isn't there, then find every difference between you and the other person in order to somehow explain to yourself why they think differently. Finally, you assume that, because they think differently from you, they must be wrong because you can never be.

Allow me to set some facts straight for you, as you obviously are incapable of seeing the truth for yourself.

I am overweight. I don't really care. I know it's because I'm lazy. I know what it'll take to lose weight. I'm not at a point in my life where that really matters.

I am 26 years old. So what? Age does not bring wisdom any more than the cakes you eat every year. Wisdom comes from research and experience. I have been experiencing and researching these topics for a long time and I have been applying what I know to debates every single day for many years now.

I am an Atheist. This doesn't mean I KNOW there is no god, this means I DON'T BELIEVE there are any deities. If I am ever proven wrong, I will change my mind. That's what intelligent people do.

I graduated from High School. I tried going to college, far too expensive. I've learned more for my career outside of college than I ever would in college, through personal experience. I barely learned anything in High School, either, that could be applied to my life. The fact is, I completed High School because of idiots that think it matters more than actual knowledge.

I love games. Not just computer games or console games, I love all games. Everyone does. And, in fact, games INCREASE your intelligence, not decrease it. They also give personal experience with things like management, coordination, team work, planning, timing, and many other useful skills. In fact, VIDEO GAMES are used to TRAIN TROOPS! Games improve lives like nothing has ever done before, which is why I have dedicated my life to creating them, and am now the lead game designer of a game company.

My IQ, last I checked, was 168. This means I have the potential to be very intelligent. I have used this potential to gain knowledge and understanding about the world around me on topics that matter, both to me and to many other people. These topics include politics, religion, science, and philosophy, just to name a few. I bet I know your bible better than YOU do.

I am NOT a liberal. I also am not a conservative. I bowed out of that petty war long ago. I hate the left, I hate the right. Both sides contain puppets and children, and they are getting VERY hard to tell apart. I am what I am calling a progressive, not to be confused with what OTHERS are calling a progressive. I want the country to progress, but not just for the sake of progress. We must become a better nation with every stride. If that means putting a republican in office, so be it. I don't care, as long as they are for bringing us into the future, not the past.

Now then if (and it's a BIG if) you actually cared to read this message, as I have read all of yours within my response to the main topic, you should find that it is not I who needs to correct himself, it is YOU who needs to correct YOURself. You have made assumptions about me based on information I gave on this site. You have put words into my text that I never typed. You have made unsubstantiated claims and have yet to back them up. And you have ignored the ACTUAL topic in favor of focusing on the person presenting it. The argument has NOTHING to do with who is presenting it, it stands or falls on its own. I don't care how stupid someone is, if they say a ball is round, I highly doubt you're going to argue with them about it. An Ad Hominem attack, wich you are using, is the last resort of those who have no argument, and is a rather insulting and pathetic rebuttal.

Since you are puzzled about my statement which lead into my Service in Vietnam, it had nothing to do with your statement, “the war is over.. we won”. It was intended to point out the hypocrisy of the liberals here who consider the “out house” float as being hateful.

My post was just a reminder of what hate is, and which side of the political scale perpetrated it.

We have a very LEGITIMATE reason to not necessarily hate Obama, but want to see him defeated in November..

You're listed as conservative. That makes you a republican. The fact that you refer to Obama as the worst president in our history also proves that, as the only thing he's managed to do while in office is tick off republicans.

You don't have to vote to be a republican.

I suppose it's a loving float, then? They compared Obama's term to an outhouse out of the kindness of their hearts?

Hate is not all black, there are shades of gray, levels of hate. There's the level of hate where you wish someone would die, then there is the level of hate where your shoes don't match. This outhouse demonstration is closer to the darker shades, but no "liberal" I have seen thinks of it as akin to wanting to assassinate the president, which you claimed they (and by extension myself, as you thought I was a liberal) were doing.
