I really don't care who he picks, but I heard it will be Paul Ryan. If it is the Democrats should be very happy. They should have a field day with this guy. His budget calls for deep cuts for the poor and the middle class, and more give aways to the wealthy. His budget will add to the debt by trillions of dollars. Even a lot of conservatives don't think he is a good choice because of his expansion of the debt. Anyway Mitt the pompous Twit is such a weak candidate that this guy wont make a difference. The Repuli-CONS better give up on this election and start thinking about 2016!!!!!!!!

Paul Ryan. What I'd REALLY like to know is how many years of tax returns did Ryan turn over to Romney. Was it only one year?

Mitt - where are those damn tax returns!

"Mitt:One year is all you get."

Looks like he's doing the Mittens thing and going with Paul Ryan but it is still Mittens so he may look at the polls in the morning and call up Christie.. just in case.

Ha, ha, ha. You must be a (wishful thinking) Democrat or you take Mitt Romney for an idiot.

George W. Bush was/is an idiot. Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, Michelle Bachmann, and Allen West, are idiots. Mitt Romney is no idiot. It will be a BIG mistake for us (Democrats) to "misunderestimate" this former Governor of Massachusets.

I have to judge how he has conducted his campaign. His misjudgements, gaffes and his out of touch personality, I feel he is a very weak candidate. But of course with this economy, I know he has a chance. So yes I never feel like Obama is a shoo in!!!!!!

Obama has made just as many or more missteps and gaffes as Romney. The difference is: Obama base - the fawning media - either ignores or downplay his gaffes. But they are quick to blow up any and all of Romney's errors. Remember Obama's open mike plea to the Russian president? If that had been Romney (or Hillary in 2008) the media would still have it under "Breaking News" But most voter's are becoming aware of the media games and they are turning them off and tuning them out. (BTW, I am a lifelong Democrat. I greatly admire Hillary Clinton.)

You say your a life long Democrat?? You sure seem to go out of your way to defend Mittens. No, Obama has not made as many gaffes as Romney. If you remember on his Europe trip, where ever he went he seem to stick his foot in his mouth. He only took three questions from the large press corp, and that's because of the gaffes. He also runs from anything controversial. To me that is not the making of a strong leader. I would have liked to have backed Hillary Clinton, it would have been great to have a woman president, but as a senator she voted to conservative for my taste. I could understand it if she was in a red state, but representing New York, figure that out. I'm even disappointed in Obama, because he moved to much to the right. But he is hundreds of time better then Romneyhood!!!!

And Hillary would have been a hundred times better than Obama. Barack has no core values. He's an opportunist.

Joe Biden, John Edwards, John Kerry, and 20 ther Democratic senators voted to authorize the invasion of Iraq - if it was proved that Iraq was an imminent danger to our national security.

Obama didn't vote because he didn't have a vote. He was not a U. S. Senator in 2002. So it's easy for him to say what he would have or not have done had he been there. If he had been there he probably would have voted "present."

I'm not sure about Hillary being better then Obama. They both lean to much to the right, but I probably would vote for her if she runs in 2016. She is a very smart women.

Well I have to admit several Democrats bought into the Cheney/Bush big lie in order to start a war in Iraq. Your wrong on Obama. when the war started he got up in the Illinois Senate, and blasted W for starting the war. He said, I'm not against wars, but I'm against stupid wars, and this is a stupid war. So Obama isn't everything Democrats would like, but that's who we have, and I'll trust him more then the Oligarchs that are running against him!!!!!!!
  • Hillary... fudge35 2012/08/14 09:52:37

I, too, was against the invasion of Iraq. I stood up on my living room floor and blasted, Bush, Cheney, Powell, and Rumsfeld. The problem is: I didn't have a vote in the U. S. Senate to do anything about it. Neither did the Illinois state senator Barack Obama, who was elected to the U. S. Senate two years after the Bush invasion.

I don't believe that Barack Obama has any core values. He is too much the opportunist. He is also as egotistical and arrogant as Usain Bolt. Only different is, Bolt can talk the talk and run the walk.

That said, I. too, will vote Obama over any Republican nominee. And, there are only about twenty Democrats that I would vote for over Obama.

I think you are going over board on your dislike for Obama. He may be to much to the right, but he is not all those statements you made about him. He really is a nice guy, just lets the right wing intimidate him into compromising to much. I wish he would get bolder and fight them more instead of trying to be a nice guy. I have seen him stand up to the right a little more since the election started. I hope he fights harder against these UN-American thugs!!!!!

Media is reporting Paul Ryan. So just like every other GOP candidate Mitt will win the vote of white males and married white women. Not enough of a voting block to win an election anymore. 4 more to Obama.

Married white female here that does NOT vote Republican thank you very much! LOL!

But yeah, if he really goes with Ryan I think he loses the Independents and he'd need those to win.
