“John McCain ran
for president and released two years of tax returns. John Kerry ran for
president, and his wife, who has hundreds of millions of dollars, she never
released her tax returns. Somehow this wasn’t an issue. The Obama people keep on
wanting more and more and more, more things to pick through, more things for
their opposition research to try and make a mountain out of and distort and to
be dishonest about.”
After all the hell and torment him and his ilk have been putting Obama through for the last three years over trumped up BS like birth certificates, school records, SS cards, etc, etc, demanding more no matter how many times the demands have been met, screaming "fraud" and "forgery" and demanding even more in a nonstop attack, this statement absolutely reeks of stinking, maggot-infested, festering hypocrisy. Mittens Impossible: Romney Bombs on Fox News
By: Jason
EasleyJuly 16th, 2012

Mitt Romney managed to do the impossible today. He bombed on Fox News by
turning a softball question on his tax returns into a total word salad disaster.
Everything was going fine for Mitt Romney on Fox and Friends. Gretchen
Carlson and crew were mixing lies about President Obama with his campaign’s
talking points. Everything was just dandy for Mitt, until the topic of his tax
returns came up.
Eric Bolling asked Romney if he thought releasing his tax returns would be a
good way to go on offense, and the Republican nominee replied, “John McCain ran
for president and released two years of tax returns.
At that moment, Romney managed to do the impossible. He became a Republican
who bombed on Fox News. Here is what the Romney campaign doesn’t grasp. The
media has now gotten a hold of the tax returns issue, and they are demanding
answers. (No, Mitt. Trying to change the subject to Fast and Furious is not
going to work.)
Here’s how Yahoo! News’s The Ticket wrote up Romney’s Fox and Friends visit,
“Romney
slams Obama’s ‘dishonest’ attacks, rejects calls to release more tax
returns” Politico ran with the headline, “Romney-world
changes the subject” On ABC News the headline is, “For
Mitt Romney, The Tax Questions Cometh“.
When a Republican appears on Fox News, especially peppy propaganda outlet Fox
and Friends, and manages to escalate to the conversation on the subject that he
is trying to avoid talking about, that is a disaster.
Mitt Romney is starting reach unprecedented territory here. He might be the
first Republican that even Fox News couldn’t save. The media is going to keep
asking about the tax returns, and Romney is going to doggedly try to run out the
clock on the 2012 election.
The answer to why Mitt Romney won’t release more tax returns is obvious, and
it isn’t just that he is very rich. It isn’t that he paid a very low tax rate.
The longer his campaign goes without releasing more returns, the clearer it
becomes that there is something in them that could seriously damage his
campaign.
It isn’t that Mitt Romney won’t release his tax returns. It is more probable
that he can’t release his tax returns and remain a viable candidate for the
presidency.
Romney’s invoking of John Kerry’s wife as political cover was borderline
insane, because Mrs. Kerry wasn’t running for president in 2004. Her candidate
husband actually
released two decades of tax returns to the public. John McCain has filed
disclosure forms for his entire public life. His finances are well known.
Mitt Romney’s answer to Eric Bolling was an admission that he can’t use his
tax returns to go on the offensive against Obama. The best that he can do is to
try to change the subject. Fox News threw Mitt Romney softballs for seven
minutes, and on the most important meatball over the heart of the plate, he
struck out swinging.
Romney accomplished the impossible. He went on Fox News and made the
situation worse.
The Only response Mitt Romney needs the next time Obama asks him to release even more tax returns is: I'll do that when you release all of your school records at Occidental, Columbia and Harvard, including your applications for admission!"
Obama and CO want to get into his business to create more disinformation.
It's a simply a fishing expedition!
I don't want to see any more Romney tax returns, nor do most Americans.
What we want to see is Obama's records that he has had sealed to hide his dishonesty about his LFBC, college records, the fact that he obtained money claiming to be a foreign
student and now he wants us to believe he is an American.
Which LIE do we believe?
If you were making the case that he was a blithering idiot, you present compelling evidence.
Lots of hot air in this article. I think Mittens did a wonderful job of questioning how someone with all the claims of malfeasance that Obama has against him... How he can turn around and do it to someone else.
Well Mittens, back in the day, Obama would be called an Uncle Tom for all the treason he committed to his Black brethren.
Hey, I feel for ya in this case--since some Republicans favor Mr. Romney's case and others favor fuller release. Poor, Huntclan, just WHO should you fall into mindless lockstep with this time? Oh, NO--you may have to engage your own brain on this one! Horrors!!
If the law does not "require" Romney to reveal extra Tax returns...why does anyone think it is their right, to muddle around in his financial life because they are "curious"?
Quite frankly..it is really none of their business or mine...what he did with his money!
They know he is a wealthy business man...do you need details to cast your vote
for or against?
He managed his money wisely for his family. More power to him!
They are basing their decision on the wrong qualifications for a president!
He didn't spend or waste YOUR tax dollars. He earned his money and managed it well. Is that not what we want a president to do..protect our tax dollars and spend them as the Constitution dictates, not destroy our economy and bankrupt our country?
Much ado about nothing except to detract from OBAMA's flushing the Economy and Jobs down the toilet while destroying the American dream for future generations.
Time for all to get real and focus on the issues! JOBS and the ECONOMY.
ROMNEY 2012
Romney calls Obama attacks "dishonest". He says that a lot. They aren't. FWIW, Mr. Romney attack/lies about Mr. Obama, especially in the time since this item. He rarely gives any details, but it often sounds like he thinks anything said against him is a lie.
He falsely claimed that two years was the standard precedent when out of recent runs, only McCain has done as few as two years.
He said that Theresa Heinz Kerry not releasing her returns in 2004 was not an issue. Not so:

As to whether he ought to release more when only his opposition wants him to--that is also false--an increasing number of Republicans have called for it, more or less, "because it's the right thing to do". Basically, most think he should do it and take the political hit and get it over with. That's people like George Will and Michael Steele, in addition to Democrats. By not doing so he's created his own problem and his own big politcal issue over NOT releasing them. Even those "friends" are now saying that whatever is in them must be pretty bad, or he would have released them by now. Note that I've not heard anyone seriously suspect that there's anything illegal in them--most likely just stuff th...

In my view and those of others, he's had many years to find a way to make a convincing argument for whatever's in there (and some of those friends have offered suggested explanations that might work), and he should be able to explain them if he's any good at campaigning. He's counting stonewalling until it goes away, and I doubt that it will.
I did enjoy our conversation the other day and we did come to some agreement?
Romney will start providing more as he starts to sweat and it isn't even close to the election. He needs to show us some of his Ma successes since he says he is the best man.
Romney was a failure in Ma. why not a country ?
I hope you have some other questions and comments on things that are not political because I like talking to you.
We will not agree on politics so can we just agree to disagree.
Thank you for considering me a freind
The bible says that it will be unequaled in all of history. WE are warned - but of course until it happens you can't make anyone believe.
Mankind is wise in its own eyes.
