I found that out after I posted my response.Thank you for the correction. I will have to do more investigation to find out why the act was repealed. I think, but I don't know for sure, that it was repealed due to its unconstitutionality.

Do you know why it was repealed?

I honestly don't like arguing. I'd rather have a substantive talk about things that affect people's lives. We may not see eye-to-eye on anything (or many things) but if we can maintain a respectful tone & terminology, we may come to understand one another better.
