The "Dems" have nothing to do with GE except to communicate with one that is moving a large portion of their industry out of the U.S. in order to make more money for the CEO, Wall Street's "market makers", and the Reagan Banks that finance the movements with your 401ks and Mutual Funds. Of course the President does, and should, stay in touch with these people so as to know what they are doing, how, and why. Would you have the POTUS just have a "hissy" in the White House and stay isolated from what is happening?

The "pass on income" was the gift of the GWB Administration which modified the Federal Tax Code to make earnings from "offshore sources" non-taxable, so long as the earnings were kept "offshore" and reinvested "offshore". So, GE has tremendous earnings from "Offshore" and invested them in factories in which to make the products of the plants they will now close. Duh, do you grasp how that works, and why? Investing in "the emerging economies of the world" is/was the whole object of "Reaganomics", that plan of
three decades that was supposed to "trickle down" all the profits from such "investments" so we could all retire and not work again. That worked very well for the "Top 2% Club" members, but not for the 98% of "We the people".
