Mitt Romney's Teleprompter Fail
Despite the fact that Barack Obama is one of the most well spoken and articulate public figures the nation has ever seen, some of the low capacity conservative "Make America Fail Because Barack Obama is President" crowd still make ridiculous jokes about the President's use of a teleprompter to give speeches. Ignored is the fact that Presidents going back at least as far as Ronald Reagan have all used teleprompters regularly, as is President Obama's thorough and articulate comments at press conferences, one on one interviews and many other unscripted moments. Mitt Romney, of course, also regularly uses a teleprompter, and it looks like he has trouble even handling that. During Romney's failed, race baiting speech at the NAACP Convention, it seems that Romney forgot how to read a speech entirely.
Hint to Mitt: When the teleprompter says "end of quote" you're NOT SUPPOSED TO READ THAT PART!

Mitt Romney Experiences Possible Teleprompter Runtime Error

No one knows exactly why Mitt Romney chose to speak before the NAACP conference in Houston earlier today. Perhaps his intended audience wasn't the African American leaders in the audience inasmuch as moderate white voters, who prefer the Republican agenda delivered to the soundtrack of racial harmony rather than racist dog whistles.
Maybe he thought the NAACP stood for the National Association for the Advancement of Corporate Persons. Or perhaps he was just continuing his commitment to the 1% of Americans by making sure that he would receive no more than 1% of the black vote, by explaining his intention to repeal the signature domestic policy achievement of the nation's first black president. Either way, he deserves some credit for speaking at the event, considering the reticence many GOP candidates have had about appearing before the NAACP.
Unfortunately, today was not the best day for the positronic interface between the TelePrompter display and the speech synthesizers of Mittbot, as it may have been overloaded by a speech section in which Romney was to quote Martin Luther King Jr. quoting G.K. Chesterton…
@RichardAdams - Speaking to NAACP, Mitt Romney actually read "End of quote" off his teleprompter. May yet read [pause] and [smile] lines . . .

MidnightCowboy 2012/07/13 19:14:23+5This incident places the nail in the coffin for those who have repeatedly criticized President Obama's reliance on the teleprompter.

..Then how come he hems, haws, & stumbles around without one?
"Romney's failed, race baiting speech at the NAACP Convention"
..Race baiting? Because he did not speak to the NAACP as a sub-group of American, but as full fledged Americans? If it was race baiting, why did the NAACP give Romney a standing ovation?
"No one knows exactly why Mitt Romney chose to speak before the NAACP conference in Houston earlier today"
..Because he was invited.
From the article itself:
"As Molly Ball points out, Romney frequently says, "End of quote," to communicate that he's done quoting"
Let's not forget 0bama's *actual* stupidities. Here's a short list off the top of my head:
- Corpse man
- 57 states
- Intercontinental railroad
- Kaminsky park
- Austrian (the mythical language he believes is spoken in Austria)
