Mitt Romney's Nomination Makes It Official: America It's Your Vote Against Their Money!

Proggy 2012/05/31 06:43:35
Seriously this blog isn't for the "bloviating ignoramuses" who make up the moronic peanut gallery of knuckle-dragging troglodytes who're motivated solely by their ignorance, bigotry, hatred, and partisanship. So if this is you, I'd appreciate you just STFU and keep your brainless opinionated drivel to yourself this time, and simply move on. Again, this blog ISN'T for YOU! Now, with that said....

I really want to speak to the everyday Jane and Joe who aren't paying any attention at all. The one's we all know who aren't politically engaged as we are. The one's who use the internet and TV primarily for entertainment purposes only. The one's who use Twitter for erroneous messaging and Facebook for sharing, photos, spreading gossip, and playing games. If you know any of these people, PLEASE I implore you to get them informed! Let them know what a Mitt Romney Presidency would mean for them. If you are NOT a multi-millionaire or billionaire basically YOU ARE SCREWED!

This is NOT hyperbole. The right-wing elite is licking it's chops like a rabid wolf getting ready to feast on a wounded lamb. Oh yes! The hunt is officially on and WE'RE (the middle/working class and lower) the prey! Since Ronald Reagan this diabolical plan against the working people of this country have been in affect. Sadly (as you see much of on this very site) they've managed dupe and bamboozle enough people to actually win elections. To anyone sane it boggles the mind how someone can be persuaded to totally ignore them and their family's economic interest and security, and totally vote on mere trivial issues like the sexuality of others, and a woman's RIGHT to make medical decisions for herself. Not to mention peddling the message (The Southern Strategy) that anyone culturally different is your enemy. Yes, the republican party coddles racists and bigots and vehemently let them know they have a home and place in their party.

As I said said before, it boggles the sane mind how these right-wing dullards can be so easily duped to vote against their own fiscal interest in lieu of things that are otherwise trivial to a person of adequate mental capacities. I saw this in a blog here on this site I'm sure the author don't mind me re-posting what it is the republican party promises these feeble minded simpletons....

1.) You'll always have a gun.

2.) You're Christianity and Whiteness will always make you better than anyone different from you.

3.) We'll bitch and whine about a law we can NEVER constitutionally overturn to protect fetuses.

4.) No way in Hell we'll allow gays to marry each other regardless of the fact that it doesn't affect anyone's life but their own.

5.) Corporations, Wall Street, and the top 1% of earners will become obscenely much more wealthy at the expense of impoverishing you and your families for generations to come.

Though number 1-4 are delusions they really need to wake up from, but let's say the can actually have it. Is #5 really worth it? According to their voting record the answer is an astounding yes.

I'd like for you all to read, and it is A MUST READ the attached article that explain the coupe d'etat on the middle/working class and working poor a Romney Presidency would be. He has the backing of the billionaire club elite, and with each dollar they donate to the Romney campaign and right-wing Super PACs it's a bet they're placing against YOU! The american citizen/worker. Let them know that there is something all their billions and billions of dollars CAN'T BUY..... YOUR VOTE!

I find it amazing how easily duped many Americans are. To vote republican is to vote for a party that if its members were leading the country in 1940, we would be speaking German today. Back then the country was also in an economic black hole but guess what? WWII happened which pulled us out of the great depression once and for all. Today's republicans would not have been in favor of entering WWII due to its projected costs. They would wine about the deficits and how we just can't afford it.

Stupidity to the max I know. Sprechen zie Deutch anyone?

I am terrified the PEONS like me will be complacent and not go vote. I am sure that there will be total disaster if they win. I don't know where I will go or what I will do but I am too old to stand and try to survive them again. My son, who can work anywhere because of his own company and that it is in leading edge technology, says we will leave the country or go so far back in the mountains we can't be found. I hope he can pull it off cause I don't want to be here if it happens. It is very sad..this was a great country.

That's why we must get the truth and facts out to all the PEONS like ourselves and get them to the polls. So many think that their one vote doesn't count, let them know it does and more than they know.

I made sure when I moved the first thing I did was move my voters registration to the proper county. I am in a heavy Republican state and will be out doing what I can to get out the vote..WE could change this state to a Democratic state if the people will just go to the polls..EVERY VOTE COUNTS!

I couldn't have read this at a more appropriate time. This afternoon, my neighbor stopped by as I was sitting outside on my deck, just wanting to chat. She got to talking about politics and mentioned that she had her fingers crossed for November. I said, "we'll need to do more than that if we don't want Romney elected." She was horrified to find out I was an Obama supporter. Her main reason for disliking President Obama? Don't you know he's raised taxes higher than any other President in history? Yes, she really believes that despite my bringing my laptop outside and showing her evidence that indicates otherwise. She used to be a Palin fan but eventually came to see reality after she used her PAC for a family vacation but she's still watching Fox. I asked her to stop talking about politics or I might end up saying something I'd regret. I usually will try to persuade people with facts but because she lives next door to me, I didn't want a neighbor who turned into an enemy living that close. I'll be polite and speak when spoken to but there will be no more lunches together, etc. Some people can learn and we can't stop trying to keep people informed. I work with our local group here and am looking forward to getting out there and knocking on doors for President Obama, driving people to the polls, and helping in any way I can to get him relected. A Romney Presidency is just too frightening to contemplate.

It is quite frightening how viscous they are and I think they are becoming borderline dangerous. We have a really big fight on our hands..I am still debating the bumper sticker for my car because I still carry the damage from the 2008 election. I am sorry you found out the hard way. I have learned to feel them out before I make a statement and then if they are "one of us" I beg them to vote and to encourage others to do the same.

The ignorance of people who will read the lies and not check to see if they are real. I don't know a way to get then to understand that it is propaganda that is being hand fed to them.

These billionaires are trying to buy the government, and if successful the will own it with Romney and the GOP doing all their bidding. They will bring Fascism to the entire country. These guys are just the tip of the iceberg too, as many other billionaire donors have remained anonymous with Citizens United. They want control of the states, and the federal government officials.

Please don't call such people conservatives. They are little more than socialists for the rich who fall for the propaganda that wealth should be transferred from the middle class to the rich. To date no one has said why. It certainly will not create jobs. If it did, perhaps Mitt wouldn't have had the worst economic record of all the governors during his one term as governor. Maybe Mitt should become president. Then these idiots will see that yes things can get much worse. I am sick and tired of these idiots with short memories who can not even make the connection between Tax cuts for the rich and economic collapse. Wonder how many times we have to go through this before these idiots realize that voodoo economics just does not work!

Things have been getting worse for these same voters for the last 30 years and although they can feel it in their wallet, see it in their paycheck, they still believe what they are hearing rather than what they are seeing. They hear that Reagan cut taxes and NEVER raised them. They hear that trickle-down economy worked despite proof it hasn't and they believe that corporations will hire more employees if they get tax cuts. The very same corporations are making record profits, have the lowest taxes in decades and won't hire unless they need employees but these people don't believe it because Fox tells them otherwise. They only listen to what they want to hear, not reality.

When the tax rate for the wealthy was 91%, the rich had no choice but to be Capitalists, and keep their money in circulation. Now that Romney pays 12% (and that, someone else's money) they don't have to do anything but count it.

Exactly. When the rich are taxed a lower rate, they don't invest it; they don't create jobs, and they don't stimulate the economy. They either save here or off shore. It's hard to believe that the party of American Exceptionalism (which is not a word) wants to elect a guy who stores his money off shore. How "American" of him.

You understand that President Obama is simply paying the bills run up by Bush right? Spending under Bush rose 8.1% in his first term and 7.5% in his second term. So far President Obama has raised spending 1.2% which also included the stimulus package. His first budget was set by Bush. Sooooo, how is his spending out of control as compared to Bush and every Republican President since Eisenhower?

No, Obama is not "simply" paying the bills left by Bush.

The new spending on Oblamercare, on green energy, on GM bailout, on cash for clonkers, on subsidies for foreign oil companies... are not Bush's policies.
Even if they were Bush's policies, what stops Obama from changing them??? He is the president!

Spending under the Obama administration has increased 1.2%. Try to understand that. Bush increased spending more than 15% in his 8 years. Bush I increased spending more than 4%. Reagan Increased spending more than 7%. Tell me how the Republicans are the fiscally responsible party?

What you are complaining about is an increase of 1% in spending and trying to tell me that that is the reason for the our budget deficit? Really? If we cut out all of the new Spending by Obama, all 1.2% of it, that would fix our budget?

Bush on average created about 90,000 jobs a month his ENTIRE tenure in the White house. However, if we count the economic crash it falls to about 45,000 jobs a month. Since Willard wants to do the EXACT same thing Bush did, how are we to expect different results?

The standard op for this adm is to revise up the rate for the prior week, juts before the new rate comes out. Get it???
