There are a few other potential picks -- like Mike Huckabee or Sarah Palin -- for Mitt Romney's Vice Presidential running mate, but the Republican candidate will most likely pick one of the names listed below. Who do you think Romney will choose as his running mate?

NYDAILYNEWS.COM reports:
Kicking the vice presidential sweepstakes into overdrive, Mitt Romney Tuesday announced his running mate’s staff — but is still debating when to unveil his actual choice for No. 2 on the GOP ticket. Sources close to the Romney campaign told the Daily News the working plan has been to announce the pick after the Olympic Games, which begin next week and conclude Aug. 12 — two weeks before the Republican convention in Tampa.

All the ones who have any serious political ambitions will shy away from his offer. Why would they want to be associated with a looser?

I picked Pawlenty, because I read somewhere recently that he is the one. But I prefer Portman, because he is known for cutting pork. As much of a pit-bull as Sarah Palin.

FatGuy, after Barry's recent statements about how small business owners really didn't start and grow their own businesses... there is a growing number of Democrats wanting someone else on their ticket. I suggest these guys:

If you want to put some "color" on the ticket...why not go with someone that actually wants the job? Two wealthy businessmen, two CEO's... one from Wall Street and one from Main Street!

Of the 566 people in our Nations Capital making laws today, there is only ONE who has put forth a responsible proposal to make us a responsible nation again in regard to health care, the budget and anything else that could make our nation relevant again economically.

I like Condi a LOT also, but fear she is not political enough for the job. Joe Biden would be able to get with his incredible number of lies in the vp debate and she would have to call him on them. That might not be her personality.

Having her on the ticket would take away the remaining black votes that obaaaama was counting on and gather votes from women.
No matter who runs, the leftwing media will create a crisis about the VP pick because obaaaama cannot run on his own record.

None of these I would say. I would say Marco Rubio would be #1. Chris Christie would be another choice. Bobby Jindal would be good. I don't see Allen West either - another excellent choice. I don't think these choices reflect the entire Veepstakes here.

Jindal doesn't meet the natural born citizen requirements as far as I know - if he picks someone like that then we will know they really are all the same. It's bad enough that we likely have a usurper in the White House now - do we really want to chance that again.

Paul Ryan is awesome. I hope that is who he picks

It is questionable according to this and many similar reports - I didn't look to see if there is an update of whether the status of his parents has been determined or not. http://hesnotmypresident.word...

I don't think it's questionable. His parents are not a factor at all. I think this sums it up nicely....

Well if you research it - you will find it is very questionable - I've seen that before. Have you seen this? http://www.wnd.com/2011/05/29... If I as a conservative question it, and I think Jindal is great, you can count on that the libs will when so much has been written on it.
