"At no time in the past 150 years has the nation needed a bold and decisive leader that could not only initiate change but be honest with the American people.

Yet the current governing class and in particular the Republican establishment is treating this election cycle as if it were no different from any other during the past sixty years. Their reaction to the Tea Party movement is indicative of this mindset, as they choose to denigrate and dismiss this grassroots uprising as just another passing crusade by conservative ideologues. They fail to understand that the appeal of Ron Paul is that he is willing to stick it to the ruling class. The primary concern of the establishment, either Republican or Democrat, is to retain power through the control of the purse strings, and to put off any difficult decisions while "compromising" with the opposition.

The campaign strategy of Mitt Romney mirrors that of all the past moderate nominees chosen by the Party. The formula: speak the language of the conservative majority in the Party, claim only a moderate can get elected, divide the vote among the conservatives running for the nomination, mobilize the media to destroy any real conservative challenger, and overwhelm these same challengers with money from the deep-pocket establishment contributors.

The only criterion for people running for president should be: what have they actually done and accomplished in their previous jobs or positions? If there is one lesson to take from the Obama 2008 campaign, it is that relying on words and image can result in choosing a man that is a disaster for the country."

My thought is that Romney was nobody's favorite among Republicans, but enough thought he was the "safe" candidate to run against Obama and maybe win. He won't. But next time the Tea Party Right will want to run a true conservative like Santorum, and he'll lose too! The majority of Americans aren't "hard right."

To be honest ... I hope Bush was. I think the time has come for a 3rd Party and I would love to see Ron Paul as President of it.

Ron Paul, the guy who follows the lead of the self absorbed, deeply disturbed fiction writer who chooses to admire a serial killer. Ayn Frank, the woman woman who whaled against government funded programs her whole life. Well, maybe not her whole life. She gladly took the social security and health benefits when she needed it.

I'll give you on thing, Ron Paul is different, but like willard, he is unelectable.

I'm sorry but I have a hard time taking a guy serious who brings a term limit bill to the floor for a vote for how many decades? A guy who is either a racist or too incompetent to manage a freaking news letter is not presidential material

I do feel better thanks. However, that doesn't make it untrue. How could you trust a guy who is so into a fiction writer that he would name his kid after her?

I find Paul followers to be extremists with a grip on reality, that's why the uninformed younger crowed loves him. Sure, on the surface he sounds great, get rid of Fed (which is a good thing), sell off the state parks, and let business do as they please, but reality and history has shown us that these kinds of actions only lead to more of the same.
His economic plan, according to conservative economist, would throw this country into a greater depression fro decades. But what the hell, we need to bite the bullet right.

There's a much easier fix for this country than to elect a psychotic hypocrite like Paul, Publicly funded elections. Take the money out of elections and you remove most of the incentive for businesses to buy politicians.

The Republican Party no longer exists. There is the Tea Party faction, mostly known for cardboard hats and incorrectly spelled signs. The Far Righties who think they are conservatives. The bombastic buffoons like Allen West and Bachmann. Comedians such as Herman Cain. Rerun Newt with his self adoration reflective speeches. Ron Paul ran in 88 , 08, and is still trucking along , batting zero. Pope Santorum. The Weeper of the House. Paul Revere Historian, Sarah Palin.

And... the nominee himself... pathetic Mitt. Mega Wealthy Mitt who tries so damn hard to be Every Man and fails so miserably.

And look who tries to validate this ship of fools.... Sean Hannity and Rush.

It looks less and less likely that the true conservative ideaology of Bob Dole will resurface any time soon. But if it doesn't happen by 2016, the GOP is dead.

I think the labels Republican or Democrat needs to be thrown out. Since there is only one party the Fascist Globalist Party. Unfortunately, Most Americans are unaware this change has taken place. The easy way to determine whether a candidate is a member of this underground party is to look at their donor list. Even with the obfuscations of recent elections. You can still see a definite pattern emerge. Wall St firms as Goldman Sachs and Bank of America are the leading indicators.

I'd like to see some proof (which I highly doubt you have) he'll do any of that if elected.
