Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts, has been plagued in the GOP primary by his record as a moderate. In the debate, hosted by NBC, Facebook and the New Hampshire Union Leader, Romney was asked about a quote he gave years ago to a gay publication in Massachusetts: "I think the gay community needs more support from the Republican party," he said at the time.

When asked how he has supported the gay community, Romney responded that as governor, he hired and appointed people to various positions regardless of sexuality. However, Romney said he has consistently opposed same-sex marriage.

I've got a lot of gay conservative friends. I'm so jaded against politicians, collectively, at this point, I don't believe anything they say.

I don't think the rights of any individual should be an issue. It should be a given.

    Gay rights are human rights.

Today's conservatives no longer fight to deny women and non-whites equality.

Tomorrow's conservatives will not fight to deny equality to gays and atheists.

However, many people born before gays and atheists get equal treatment will oppose that equal treatment until they die.

Romney HAD to do that to get elected in Massachusetts, but now is secretly against it, cuz if he was for it, he would not get elected as the Republican leader.

I'm sure he is not in favour of gay rights, but for now will be tolerant, he certainly is not for women's rights. He is a corporate raider and we certainly don't need that, since corporations are already have to much of an influence in 'our' government.

Republicans are finally becoming tolerant and some accepted full inclusion although they are still against gay marriage ( As I'm still undecided myself on the matter ) I just figure we have bigger fish to fry-- mainly beating Obama in Nov. is priority #1

that you should stop co-opting the word gay and state it homosexuals and lesbians. Mitt said he supported civil unions and that it is a state right, but he believes marriage is between a man and a woman.

Even as a gay man , I tend to think the same thing .--I'd rather gays called their commitment to each other something other than marriage -- The Straight people have ruined the institution of marriage .

Well I have not, but whatever you think. Let me ask you a question since you are homosexual, do you guys look for long term relationships, or do you like troll around and pick up straight guys or younger boys. I have heard a lot of times that homosexuals do not like long term relationships.

We're looking for long term commitment at least that 's what the majority of gays that I know are doing. I've been in a long term commitment for 3 yrs and my partner lives 1 hour drive from me --due to work . So we have to operate 2 households --Mine and his--- gets rather expensive . I have my work and he has his. What about you "Happy Guy ?"?

I consider it a challenge if I can have sex with a straight man --but if he's having sex with me he must not be straight ??--Just married to a women with 3 kids and likes a little gay action on the side. I try to have a committted relationship ..... but too many hunky men and so little time ---- My man in I are in an "OPEN" relationship now. Gay 3 way
