If we ever actually lived up to what we were preaching to the rest of the world, we might have a bit more credibility.

As it is, the rest of the world sees us as hypocrites, and as shining examples of BAD leadership.

The world does not need American Leadership, it needs good American Leaders. It needs leaders who speak out against Violence and stop the drone, and Military Invasion coming from the US. Don't tell us what to do, when you don't do it. You sow goodwill, the world will follow. Create Jobs Mitt. Don't cut jobs, for your personal off shore accounts to escape paying taxes.

The American President is commonly referred to as the "leader of the free world" and every President has used that title, including Obama. Regardless what we think, and what MSM is feeding us, the American President is well respected and thought of in many areas of the world. Romney will be looked to as a world leading voice, like others in his position. So yeah, he should be wording it that way.

Im sure the rest of the world is getting tired of us trying to cram our beliefs and way of life down their throat. I am proud to be an American but i would find that statement offensive if i was not from the u.s.

I find his comment completely offensive as an Australian, we are getting on just fine without 'your' leadership, infact we are better off then you in almost every respect.

Under Obama’s leadership, the world is going to hell. Obama had his hand in the Arab Spring. How is that working out?

In a totally connected world and for a country with such a reliance on imports, wouldn't you say that is a little near sighted?

Since Globalisation, the truth is that we really are all it in together, so anything bad for the rest of the world is almost certainly going to be bad for the US too...

Have you ever considered what the impact of a worldwide trade embargo would do to the States?

You sometimes miss my sarcasm, JMCC. I'm in complete agreement with you. Just hearing the question, though, makes me hearken back to the days of "Manifest Destiny".

Now don't you be puttin' no trade embargos on the U.S.! I need my Walmart goods! LOL
