    I certainly hope so.

Raising the minimum wage would eliminate several jobs in my area, and I'm unable to find an open one as it is. This video explains:

Look at Ontario friend. Ontario has 10.25 per hour and everything is nice and rosy

Specific areas might be fine. OTHER policies might be put in place that make it work. If there's not many people looking for work, it might work if they're capable of increasing their productive output.

But businesses won't hire workers if they won't generate a profit from their work. That's just COMMON SENSE. If you're making minimum wage right now, chances are your work isn't worth much more than that. So if they increase the minimum wage, workers making minimum wage will need to work harder (leading to potentially harmful work conditions) or will lose their job. Again, COMMON SENSE.

Yes, it is actually evidence since the article is backed up by studies. By all means, explain why all those studies got it all wrong.

COnnecticut and Pennsylvania have both raised the MW and now Mayor Bloomberg with Gov. Cuomo want to do the same in NY. What's the big deal?

Thanks for the clarification. I see MR the same way. Big corporate America, everything OWS is against. Business first, then people even if it takes people to make a business work. Power to the people.

Mitt has been walking around with that silver spoon hanging out of his mouth for his entire life. Come on. Mitt doesn't have any idea whatsover what a living wage means to people. He is clueless. The Republicans are getting ready to run the wealthiest man ever to run for the Oval Office. We all remember George. God, do we ever. Not anywhere near the same wealth as Mitt but he told a woman working three jobs to make ends meet,
" Well, that is so American of you! Good for you!"

That is your Republican Party. Clueless when it comes to anyone who is not the 1 %.

Have heard the exact opposite. They (and Mitt of course) want to eliminate it altogether, so you can't even be guaranteed the measly $8/hr that already cannot pay the bills thanks to devaluation and inflation, and pure greed (i.e. grocery items being cut a few ounces every few years for more money).

devaluation inflation pure greed grocery items cut ounces years money
Clearly a 'man of the people'... LOL!
