Mitt Romney may release his taxes in April but only for 2011. Are we jealous or is he nervous?

We're Jealous and the American public doesn't deserve to see his Tax Returns.

In recent weeks the nature of Mitt Romney's fortune has been brought into question. What his role and deeds were when he was CEO of Bain Capital, to his tax returns. Romney is estimated to be worth $270 million and has been receiving pressure from Journalists and G.O.P. rivals has decided to disclose his taxes around the deadline in April Though it seems he may only be disclosing his 2011 taxes. On Tuesday when asked Romney stated that He pays "probably closer to the 15% rate than anything," some speculate that it is closer to the 11% Warren Buffett pays. Romney further stuck his foot in his mouth when he described other sources of income (speaking fees) as not much. In Mitt Romney's world $374,327 (that's a real number) between Feb. 2010 and Feb. 2011 is not much. For those 10 speeches he raked in approximately $41,592 per speech. Not much huh? let that marinate for a second. The average income for the middle class is about 35 - 50 thousand a year, Mitt Romney makes $41,592 an hour. But it's not that much. Are we Still Jealous? Or are you Just Nervous ?
Here's a look at the current Tax Brackets
If You're filing Single and You make between

$0 - $8,500 = 10%
$8,500 - $34,500 = 15%
$34,500 - $83,600 = 25%
$86,300 - $174,400 = 28%
$174,400 - $379,150 = 33
$379,150 and above = 35%

If You're Married and filling Jointly and You make between

$0 - $17,000 = 10%
$17,000 - $69,000 = 15%
$69,000 - $139,350 = 25%
$139,350 - $ 212,300 = 28%
$212,300 - $379,150 = 33%
$379,150 and above = 35%

If You're the head of household and you make between

$0 - $12,150 = 10%
$12,150 - $46,250 = 15%
$46,250 - $119,400 = 25%
$119,400 - $193,350 = 28%
$193,350 - $379,150 = 33%
$379,150 and above = %35

Anyone else notice how his tax rate doesn't even appear well it does if he's paying somewhere between 11% to 15% he's paying what the lower to lower middle classes are paying. And before any Terry cloth Republicans gets their tits in a tizzy look at those bottom 4 brackets. That's what You pay. So take out your calculator calculate not only how much You give our Government, but how much is left behind for you after you've committed your civic duty. If The left is really engaging in "Class Warfare" Who are the Casualties?

I know that he is rich, and I dont really care. He is more than likely nervous about the people knowing just how rich he is.

We all know he's rich. That's not in question. He made almost 375,000 in speaking engagements. I don't think he's nervous about is explaining why He was taxed 20% less for that sort of income. What I think makes him a bit nervous is saying it's wrong and it should change with a straight face.

I do not think he thinks it is wrong. How can he possibly say that? That is what makes him nervous about releasing them. As long as he is paying what is required, then he is following the law of the land. Seems like no one wants the law to be different, so what is he supposed to do? The man is rich, he is rich, I dont care about that. All I care about is what he will do if he gets in office. I just want someone who will do something and not be total buttwipe.

Romney has done nothing wrong. He Pays his taxes, He pays what he is told, and does so in the spirit of civic duty. The tax brackets seem not to apply to Capital Gains. That's where the anxiety begins. On one hand there will be the American Public who may not understand that aspect and expect him to change that law, then there are the venture capitalists, who feel it's simply blasphemous to raise taxes on capital gains, and might not donate to his campaign if he betrays them. As for not being a total butt wipe when they get into office, no President has accomplished that in my lifetime. Not that I shouldn't hope, but I wouldn't suggest holding one's breath.

He knows Obama and the dems will twist the entire thing as one stupid reporter already said, how can he justify that" Duh he followed the law! He probably paid more in charity that Obama earned! Class warfare leads to socialism and revolution which is always been bad in terms of socialistic marxism.

It's not his fault for following the law. I'm with you for that. Capital Gains are taxed differently Than other types of income because they're not guaranteed consistent income. But some one who relies on tips has to disclose them. And though it's damn near impossible. Hypothetically, if someone declared $375,000.00 in tips. Would they also be put in the 15% tax bracket?

The good news is that in the future due to this administration, future Democratic presidential candidates may actually get vetted properly, they may actually have real work experience, they may actually follow through on their vows of transparency, they may actually respect our allies.
