Mitt Romney is OK with assult weapons on the streets, really????

So they shouldn't be in the hands of criminals, I get that.....but the "joker" got them legally. He was clean.
These weapons should be designated for police and military.

I used to hunt semi-humans in Vietnam. My M-16 came in very handy.
Other than that, I don't need it to hunt animals (I don't hunt) but it comes in handy on a rifle range. It also i handy for home protection.

The shooter may have had a drum magazine, but a real assault weapon is capable of selective fire. The common "ugly black rifle" fires only once per trigger pull. A military grade or assault weapon fires either three round bursts, full auto, or single round.

The ordinary gunshop black AR is semi auto, the same as many common hunting rifles. It just looks more evil, but is legit for hunting.
