Mitt Romney has refused to make more than one of his tax returns public, and has refused to discuss the issue in public, as well. But today, he sent out his wife to address that issue for him. She went on Good Morning America and told us he would not be releasing any more returns. Her explanation was that it would only give his opponents more material for attack, and she added that he has given people all they need to know.

What actually seems to be happening is that Mitt is totally unprepared for the fact that pretty much your whole life is under scrutiny if you want to be President. I doubt that there is anything disqualifying in his tax returns, although he may be somewhat embarrassed when people find out how truly wealthy he is. But his unwillingness to just deal with this issue so he can put it behind him will eventually do him some real damage because it feeds into the narrative that he has something to hide and can't be trusted. He needs to realize that he is no longer in the Republican primary where he can win by just outspending his underfunded opponent. If he doesn't stop fumbling the ball on this, it could cost him the election.reply

You want to know, it is public information look it up yourself if it really matters. Oh while you are at it, try looking up the Obama's tax records for the last 5 years, oops that is right. The Obama's did not disclose their tax records beyond the tax year of 2007 and only 2007. Yet as the President his tax filing is the property of public records yet only the simplified form was released. What does the Obama's have to hide, could it be capital gains or maybe the private personal donations to the Obama's. No Obama said he would be transparent.reply

+1I am enjoying Mitt's incompetence immensely! My next one may question whether he hates his dad, who started this whole disclosure thing, and released 12 years of returns, saying anyone could create a misleading picture with a single return!reply
