So the Federal gov't is responsible for Medicare and Medicaid and both need to be "cleaned up". Funny, I didn't hear him talk about the health care for Federal employees, such as Senators and Representatives. I think that health care program is in fine shape.

So Senator McConnell, how about you just roll out what you have to the rest of the American public. I think that would take care of all the problems.

The answer is Republicans will gut the plan; with no replacement. You're on your own for healthcare. When the president goes into more detailed explanation people will see all the advantages and love it. They just need to know how it would be implemented, taxes and all.

When my kids were growing up they would always come to me wanting things. I would look at them and tell them I have no money. This went on for years even though I always did have money in my wallet. So how can you say they have no money do you do their books?

The Government has told us that we are TRILLIONS of dollars in debt. That means we can't pay our bills. That means we be broke. What about that is a mystery to you? For the first time in the country's history, our credit rating was down-graded last year. The Government should not be talking to us like we are children, & I would hope you'd feel affronted at this if they did. If you think this is a child's game, perhaps you still have a lot of growing up to do.

The Corporate Elite could pay their fair share of taxes, instead of expecting the middle class to cover them. Also Congress could pass the jobs bill and put more people back to work; and they can cover their own health care. The government doesn't have to foot the bill, just make sure insurance companies don't overcharge. If there are billions to cover presidential campaigns that benefit Corporate Americans, you really can't say there is no money.
THERE IS MONEY to produce a good healthcare plan. You can't deny that Sheldon Adelson, Koch, Karl Rove and others have invested trillions to protect their own interests, but nothing to advance jobs or benefit the majority of Americans. Romney himself, hides his own income in foreign banks to avoid paying taxes to America. How patriotic is that? Taxes have been with us since biblical times, and most people have paid a fair share of their earnings, according to law. Why now, is it a terrible thing to be avoided at all costs. Don't forget the bible quote, "Give Unto Caesar, What is Caesar's and "Unto God What is God's"
The Affordable Care Act is only a tax if you're not buying coverage, then you will pay a reasonable penalty. But do you really want to pay for people who can afford it, but don't buy coverage; yet they incur large hospital bills or go to the emergency room? If everyone is responsible and covers theirself, wouldn't that be a better outcome?

No one, & I mean NO ONE, believes we don't have problems in every area you have discussed; however, the way we go about solving those problems is NOT by stealing from people who have worked hard for their money, while allowing those who have allowed themselves to become prisoners of the entitlement programs (NOT children, infirmed & elderly) to not accept responsibility for their own lives.

Even if the ultra rich gave 100% of their earnings (which is what you & progressives wish them to do), we would not even be a drop in the bucket compared to what our government OWES for their shafting of the American people. You're blaming & wanting to penalize the hand that feeds us (give us jobs, support charities, etc.)

The love of your life, Obama [no PBUH) wants to stimulate the economy by increasing government spending & growing government overreach in our lives.

If everyone (except those who can't work & our elderly) is held responsible & covers themselves, the government, run by socialists, would STILL find it necessary to do all they can to take 75%, minimum, of our money in taxes & continue growing the government so that we have very few rights & freedoms left. Would that be a better outcome? Honest?
