The Mini Cooper SUV, better known as the Mini Countryman, is a fuel-efficient SUV that packs an unimpressive 0 to 65 mph time of 10.5 seconds (7.6 with the Cooper S). The Countryman SUV is the first Mini Cooper with four doors, though it provides more space while competing in size with the Honda CR-V and Land Rover LR2.

The wide-mouthed hatchback Countryman has an optional four-wheel drive. American buyers will have the choose of picking from two engines, while Europeans will have the choose of five.

Wow, they made it just slightly bigger, with trunk space. It's not a mini-cooper anymore guys, they need to get a little bit more original with what they name their SUV "once a little car, but now we made them big" cooper. Like the "Maxi-Cooper" or the "Monstrous -Cooper". And if its the same size as a Honda CRV (or competing), it's not really a SUV.

I don't really know why they made this car.

I go to college at night in Dallas and usually get out around 10 PM, One night I was on my way home I-75 North Central and all 5 lanes in Plano were shut down for about 5 miles, we were directed to a stop-and-go traffic stopped frontage road, i counted police cars from Plano, Allen and Dallas (10) 3 ambulances, 6 fire trucks, and I saw what was left of a mini cooper in millions of tiny pieces , the largest of which was a tire. It didn't even look like it was ever in one piece. It was hit by a mustang, not anything exceptionally large like a semi or pickup truck, but the mustang was all in one piece.

3 people died in the cooper, the driver of the mustang survived

I'll never get in one of those death traps - ever.
