Middle East policy disasters

An activist with the Constitution Party reminds us sharply: American policy in the Middle East has been a disaster. That disaster predates Obama, though Obama most certainly compounded it.
He asks: what have we gained from intervening militarily in the Middle East? The situation on the ground for Christians and Jews, in Iraq, Afghanistan, and especially in Egypt and Libya, has gotten worse, not better for our adventures in those countries.
The author notes that Mitt Romney wants to arm the rebels in Syria. On the eve of the Third Presidential Debate, it's worth asking: is that wise? Do we even know who those rebels are?
What say you? Better to clear out now, before we make a bad situation even worse?

Stop supporting supremacist fascist Apartheid terrorists.
Stop supporting people who corrupt US gov, US MSM and US banking.
Stop supporting terrorists
What you war monger morons can't see is that America is also in their sights. Our dollar is almost dead and worthless and inflation will bite you all in the arse as the end of the year approaches.
Take your rose colored glasses off and look around. Does everything seem good to you?
My policy for the remainder of the mid east is to and make sure both sides have equal number of bullets. Sunis/Sheites, Syria/Rebels and so on.
Obama is a total failure , all the way around - internally in the USA and internationally..
He attracted more enemies and scared away our allies.
the entire attempted take over of the middle east has one goal in mind, control of natural energy sources. it has nothing to do with religions etc . thats obfuscation. our govt has been lying to us for decades!
Sadly we have to play the game by the rules many others make.
Israel has to be our prime concern though. period.
screw israel ,its a troublemaker .
And at some point show how ignorant you really are, show me where we are occupying any where, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Tunis, Egypt, Yemen, Somalia, Lebanon, Syria, just were the hell are we "occupying"?
the american people didn't reject ron paul ,obtuse maroon! it was the elite that you all seem to like being slaves to.
america is the laughing stock of the world for their false democracy and govt. only americans, the majority of them, keep thinking that they are superior to everyone else. arrogant and distasteful is how you are seen.
i suggest you look up what occupation means. having bases in other countries is what occupying forces do. but then you wouldn't understand that ,would you?
https://nsnbc.files.wordpress...
We give massive amounts to foreign aid to maintain those bases, at their pleasure, they can ask us to leave at any time, like the Phillipines and other countries have, or ask us to stay and limit our movement in the countries, like Saudi Arabia, and other arab states have.
Definition of OCCUPATION
1a : an activity in which one engages b : the principal business of one's life : vocation
2a : the possession, use, or settlement of land : occupancy b : the holding of an office or position
3a : the act or process of taking possession of a place or area : seizure b : the holding and control of an area by a foreign military force c : the military force occupying a country or the policies carried out by it
We do neither, next time you use a source, please pick a less biased one, like the "daily kooks"
America is the only representitive democracy left that is some what functional, the laughing is at the "man chile' who would be king.......
But then this delusional moron has most of the same foreign policy measures Paul has.
well lets see, many countries have said get out ,but the govt doesn't do it.
Paul Wolfowitz discussed US bases in an interview with the New York Times. "Their function may be more political than actually military," he explained. US bases "send a message to everybody, including important countries like Uzbekistan, that we have a capacity to come back in and will come back in."
According to the Pentagon, there are approximately 865 US military bases abroad—over 1,000 if new bases in Iraq and Afghanistan are included. The cost? $102 billion annually—and that doesn’t include the costs of the Iraq and Afghanistan bases.
In a recent Italian documentary Standing Army, the late author and Nation contributor Chalmers Johnson says, “The unit of empire in the classic European empires was the colony. The unit for the American empire is not the colony, it’s the military base.
just recently the japanese told d.c. they want the military bases out of japan.

2 reasons the u.s. has over 600 bases occupying other countries :
1) Control of as much of the world’s economy and financial markets as possible.
2) The taking over of as many natural resources, that is primary resources and nonrenewable sources of energy as possible.
Hey FYI, try decaf, "K"
Earth to "well you" ...... this just in
"U.S. To Hand Over Iraq Bases, Equipment Worth Billions
....There were 505 U.S. military bases and outposts in Iraq at the height of operations, said Col. Barry Johnson, a spokesman for U.S. forces in Iraq. Only 39 are still in U.S. hands -- but that includes each of the largest bases, meaning the most significant handovers are yet to come. ....."

Afghanistan is an "on going" conflict, soon to "wind down" when we get a competent president, even marginally, we will leave behind a stable islamic government, not the one we would want, but one that we won't have to re-invade. Do we need "posts" in europe, not as many as we may have, unless Putin is in fact reconstituting the USSR empire, which was trying to take over the world and create a traditional "land ownership".
The rest of the KOOKs stuff, tell me when after the '50's, we had "ownership of the japanese economy? They and Germany would not have come close to tanking our dollar in the '80's and early '90's if that were true.
All I see is an infantil...

All I see is an infantile conspiracy rumors from some half pint follower of Lyndon LaRouche, someone I've checked off as a whack job 30 years ago, you seem to think the "benign little Ross Perot 2.0" is a brand new sparkling penny. apparently you are too young to know what you're talking about or too lost in the insanity of the LaRouche bomb bunker mentality. You sure as hell don't show yourself anything but a completely ignorant about Israel and it's importance, you didn't seem to know that it was LBJ who forced the Israeli's to sink our own ship, like the trumpeted up Gulf of Tonkin crap he pulled.
If you want me to take you seriously, quit the insane posting of redundant lies about the "American Empire", that is a load of crap from beginning to end.
Now have a nice day and go away, you're only embarrassing yourself.
Where does it say that Israel is God's chosen land?
They can prove it archeologically, and historically.
Take your anti-semitism and shove it up your ass.
ו שַׁאֲלוּ, שְׁלוֹם יְרוּשָׁלִָם; יִשְׁלָיוּ, אֹהֲבָיִךְ.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; may they prosper that love thee.
Now if you continue your unfounded rant, you will be found aiding and abetting the real 911 criminals and obstructing justice.
"I will bless them that bless thee, and I will curse them that curse thee." They won't believe that one either.
