Microsoft Evades Paying $4.5 billion in Taxes

I think Bill must have got some tips from Warren Buffet on how to keep more of his billions and let the middle class pick it up for them. Warren brags that his secretary pays more in taxes then he does.

Don't be mad at microsoft when it is our gov passing the bills to allow loop holes into the system

they could do the right thing and avoid the loopholes if they chose.

And the many people I know could do the right thing and quit bring babies in the world they can not care for.

If we as a society can not do the right thing on a micro level how can we expect a company to do it on the macro level?

the macro level should be better educated shouldn't it?

I had health class in grade school and high school. They were educated the same as everyone else

On the Micro level:
You've got a 20 year old single mother with 4 children working part time about 14 - 15 hours a week who refuses to work more, because then she would have to pay more for her housing, her food stamps might go down 20 bucks, and if she brings in anymore money her children's SSDI which is not needed ( over active= mommy pay attention to me, take me to the park let me be outside and play) will be reduced. And then during tax time lies and says she made this amount of money along with her W2 so she can get more money then what she paid into the system. Once she gets that check she puts a down payment a used mustang that "will fit" all 5 with their carseats and a couple months later have it repo'd.


On the Macro level :
All of it aggravates me, because it was our elected officials who wrote these codes. And they wrote them to benefit themselves, and now companies use them to benefit themselves. Just like they did with their stocks.. take a week to move stocks around while they were writing the new stuff.

I honestly believe life would be easier if people were not greedy.

I'm sure that everything that Microsoft did was entirely legal. They have hundreds of lobbists in Washington DC to ensure that they get those loop holes and tax breaks and the primary reason Congress will NEVER allow our tax code to be changed. That is where their true power is.

Of course there IS one group (TEA) that is COMMITTED to removing the power of Congress to continue to do so. Why do you think both democrats and republican leaders have put so much effort into convincing Americans they are radicals?
