Cairo, Egypt is where this story is from ..

an Egyptian Telecom Mogul (Naguib Sawiris) posted on-line a Cartoon ..
Mickey Mouse has a beard ..
Minnie Mouse is wearing a Face Veil.

Needless to say .. there's a group that has already taken /offense/ at this cartoon ..

The Salafis (an ultra-conservative (extreme) Islamic Sect) took to TWITTER and other on-line media to
"launch an online campaign calling on Muslims in Egypt to boycott Sawiris' mobile phone company Mobinil"

With also Facebook Groups established (to support this boycott call)

AND With at LEAST 15 Salafi Lawyers filing LAWSUITS (legal-warfare) claiming 'religious contempt' ..

Needless to say .. there's quite a bit of effort ranged AGAINST Mr Sawiris at this time.

well, yes, it is controversial - he had every right to do it and they have every right to be pissed off, no?

they are protesting the 'right' way - why should they give their money to a man they feel has mocked their religion?
