I think this country has much bigger worries (hello, Obama Depression?) than two broads being deliberately provocative. Give them their lousy 15 minutes and then move on.

Allowing people to lose their legitimate free speech rights (banning from their rightfult seat in a state legislature) is extremely important.

The GOP is of course nervous when the word "vagina' is used since it is unclean and no GOP member has ever had anything to do with a vagina (sarcasm)

The Videos Do not Lie

True enough. But only half a truth is misleading and, therfore, a lie. A little like the Rodney King video.

Rodney king was no hero he was a drugged out criminal who was attacking the cops they had to respond with more force to subdue him and he refused to cooporate

The video presented by the media at the time started after King assaulted an arresting officer. Peoples attitudes about King modified significantly when informed of the events not appearing in the video.

We do not see the proceedings leading up to her speech, nor did the video presented contain the admonition of the chair.

It did, however, contain the portion of her speech that appeared to be there merely for the shock value. Rhetoric, if you will. It would have been been slightly more accurate if she had said womb or uterus, but not be nearly provocative.

I will not take sides without seeing substantially more than presented. The opinionators showed only enough to fit their needs.

It reminds me a little of children telling their side of the story. The facts often are distorted by bias.

The really scary part about Fox is that it is the most trusted cable news source.

I gotta agree with you there, but the even scarier fact is that it's trusted by easily-led conservatives and perpetually-angry RWNJs. No one with an IQ cares what they have to say.

Do not underestimate their market. Moderates and conservatives are a sizable voting block that are not so easily lead.

I don't underestimate them at all, but I disagree that they're not easily-led. Most of Fox's following still falls for ridiculous birther scams and heartily embraces the incorrect definitions of Socialism, Marxism and Communism in creating their broken ideology. Also, I'm not worried about the right-wing moderates, they're actually the last bastion of intelligence and sanity in the GOP arsenal and if the right-wing extremists would take their cues from them, it's likely that we wouldn't be having this conversation.

The same may be said about the extreme left. In all my years, the only difference I have been able to discern between LWNJs and RWNJs is volume.

Actually, with regard to the right's reliance on Fox News as the only factual source of news, the same cannot be said about the left. It's true that volume is typically the only difference between right and left, but you won't find many lefties purposely misdefining an entire ideology just to make a point.

this is threason I'm an independent .I was with the reps, until Clinton ,trickle down ,didn't work ,thanx Ray gun ,but the dems have soured by being wusses from time to time when they could have roared .I watch both sides cautiosly ,and the antics of the white male reps against women ,even their own have turned me off. OK ,they should have said"pussy" maybe these guys would have gotten the "grabber" they so seriously need .Birth control should be common sense by now, and should be available to all, screw the religious istitutions that think celebacy is king, and I'm talking catholic clergy .I can't expect males who shunned sex ,and marriage to advise uos as how to live our sexual lives,and prefer birth control as a way to stop abortions.

They are owed an apology.

They should have been reprimanded. These sessions are open to the public including children. They could have got their point across without being crude. However I believe they did it on purpose for shock value.
