By most accounts, Michelle Obama's Democratic National Convention Speech Tuesday night was a big hit. The first lady spoke admiringly of her husband's middle-class roots (recalling how when they first got together, Barack's car had a hole in it through which she could see the pavement), character and accomplishments. Here are some key sound bites from the speech...
"Well today, after so many struggles and triumphs and moments that have tested my husband in ways I never could have imagined, and I have seen firsthand that being president does not change who you are. No, it reveals who you are."
"So when it comes to rebuilding our economy, Barack is thinking about folks like my dad and like his grandmother. He's thinking about the pride that comes from a hard day's work. That is why he signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act to help women get equal pay for equal work."
"That is why he cut taxes for working families at small businesses."
"That's how he brought our economy [from the] brink of collapse to creating jobs again. Jobs you can raise a family on, good jobs. Right here in the United States of America."
"When it comes to the health of our families, Barack refused to listen to those folks who told him to leave health reform for another day. Another president. He didn't care whether it was the easy thing to do politically. That is not how he was raised. He cared that it was the right thing to do."
"He -- he did it because he believed that here in America, our grandparents should be able to afford their medicine. Our kids should be able to see a doctor when they're sick. And no one in this country should ever go broke because of an accident or an illness."
"And he believes that women are more than capable of making our own choices about our bodies and our health care."
"Barack knows the American dream because he's lived it. And he wants everyone in this country, everyone to have the same opportunity no matter who we are or where we are from or what we look like or who we love."
What did you think of Mrs. O's speech?
Like I have always said, we can agree to disagree without being so negative and untruthful. Posting a college student ID that reads "foreign student " is not only untruth but most of all it will not help the image of Romney that you are in favor of. There are so much out there to make a good case for Romney not the above. Just remember, always check your postings to make sure that they are helping Romney to get more votes rather than take away from his votes.
2. Michelle had miniority scholarships to pay for all her Ivy League tuitions? Really? How much did those scholarships amount to.....and can you list the scholarships and the amounts of each one? How much was her Princeton undergrad and Harvard law school tuitions? See.....to state that she had zero student loans you have to PROVE YOUR POINT by providing this information; you can't just point fingers and make accusations. Without providing her scholarship and tuition information, you lack credibility. And again......you lose

And Obama';s education was actually funded by Percy Sutton, a former lawyer for Malcolm X and a former business partner of al-Mansour, says he (al-Mansour) was raising money for Obama’s graduate school education (and) al-Mansour was representing top members of the Saudi Royal family seeking to do business and exert influence in the United States.”
One of those Saudi royals was Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, a nephew of Saudi King Abdullah. He was the Saudi prince who offered to donate $10 million to help New York rebuild after the terrorist attacks of 9/11.
Boy, that wacky Obama! He is one mysterious guy ain't he? He seems to have connections to every unsavory character in the world!

Hmmm... I went to school. I paid for my own school (with the help of available monies). Barack went to school... Hey!!! Maybe he paid for his too??! Ya think? Why do you all keep looking for something that most likely didn't happen. There's a saying in the medical field, when you hear a person cough, treat them for a cold first. Don't go looking for some new disease, because more than likely, its the common cold. Why are you insisting that Barack Obama's only option was to have some strange relationship with someone who agreed to pay for his college education??? What would they get out of it? For the record, I am not claiming that the Saudi prince funding Obama's student loan is a fact. I don't know how Obama paid his student loan. I don't CARE how he paid his student loan. I'm not at all certain he actually was a student.
And that mystery, that untold story, that incomplete and conflicting history of the president is troubling to me.
And his supporters, yourself included seem to have trouble discussing the things we DO know about him.
I'd really like to know how you verified their (both of them) whole college (including grad school) financial status. Seems like the only one lying is you!

The one misstatement that I did notice was when Gov. Patrick said something about the unemployment rate when Gov. Romney left office in MA. I believe that the unemployment rate in MA was, actually, lower when Gov. Romney left office and the impression give was that it was not. That is, indeed, false.
