Michelle Obama cites Jesus as model for citizenship. So, should we expect liberals to start complaining any minute now about how Mrs. O is "forcing religion on people" or advocating a "theocracy"?

Much that is being done in Christ's Name is false to Christ in that it is conceived in the flesh, incorporates fleshly methods, and seeks fleshly ends. Christ is mentioned from time to time in the same way and for the same reason that some other self-seeking politician mentions Lincoln or the flag, to provide some pseudo-sacred front for carnal activities and to deceive simple-hearted listeners. The giveaway to her insincerity is that following Christ is not central to her argument - He is just being used as a crutch to give simple minded democrats the illusion that she cares what Jesus Christ actually thinks. She is a phony!!
That's not exactly theocratic.She's making the point that citizenship is not a once in a while duty. She's not our president, she didn't issue any theocratic edicts, she's not posing as a pastor-in-chief and, although people have to be careful of crossing certain lines, we don't live in a either / or world regarding expression and freedom of speech...as in either she can't ever mention anything religious in any capacity or she's crossed the line into official establishment of religion.

No wonder he wants a second term.
