Michelle Obama, speaking at an AME Church conference in Nashville, described her husband in near-religious terms, and compared him to several figures from the Bible.

I would have advised our first lady that if she is so interested in finding a Bible character that is fitting to compair to the President; she should turn to 1 Judges 22:53 to read about King Ahaziah whom I believe would be a much better comparison. [THANKS

Um - did you even watch the video you linked? I did, and she did NOT compare Obama to any Bible figures. She spoke of the remarkable societal shift we saw with the election of the first black President, and then referenced bible stories about "keeping the faith".

Right? That particular argument just makes zero sense to me. One, it's silly to say Obama's not black - anyone other than one of these carzies would hear that and say "wha'???". But two, and more confusing still, is what could possibly be the goal of that argument? The best I can guess is that it's the most paper-thin, weak attempt ever to try to remove any historical significance from his election. But I suspect even that is giving morons like "Yo" too much credit for actually having some tiny shred of logic behind a fundamentally illogical concept...

I watched the video and didn't see where she compared him to any religious figures. She referenced 4 people from the Bible, but not in comparison to her husband.
