Michele Bachmann fearfully calls Americans 'to arms' to march on DC again--see video link.

steven November 03, 2009 13:43:40

PLEASE SHARE THIS AND RE-POST IT EVERYWHERE! IT IS URGENT!
In a moving plea to the American people, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, a great American representative, calls for talk show listeners to spread the word and again descend on the 'amnesiacs' in DC. "This is it", claims Bachmann. Citing a state of affairs that is nearing 'nuclear meltdown' in nature, she says we MUST confront our elected officials eye-to-eye, en masse, in their own offices and in no uncertain ANGRY terms. Proclaiming that 'Health Care" was never about what its title claims, Bachmann declares the goal was power all along and says that it may all come down to Harry Reid and a 51 vote decision to get the "president's" signature, ending in government control of 48% of our national infrastructure. From there, she doesn't see how it will be reversible, except by revolution. And you know as I do that 48% will never be enough. Once fed, the monster will keep feeding until it consumes all in its path and there is no more to consume.

I do not see Bacmann as being alarmist in nature. What I hear in her voice is a genuine love for country and a frightened concern for our future. ANYONE who can march into the office of their representatives and send a powerful eye-to-eye message should do so. Massive numbers is what we need right now. America will become the crown jewel of Socialism if we allow this to continue--and it is coming so quickly that your head will spin. After this, the only recourse may be blood in the streets--and I do not exaggerate the gravity of the situation. Americans must walk away from jobs to go to DC, if they want to save their nation, or we will be living in 'AmeriKa", no longer a land of the free and home of the brave. Indeed, "this is it", people. Our future, your children's future, hinges on this one moment.

You!

Go Michelle! People, it's time to man the phones again! If you can visit an office, great, if not, get on the phones. DEMAND that your representatives shoot this down and TELL THEM there's no provision in the Constitution that allows this!

Just for fun, lets keep a running count of the communists in this thread. So far, there's 2!

Nice try Congresswoman, but an incumbant is an incumbant. And your @$$ deserves to be thrown out of office like the other 534 idiots in Congress for being one. along with Obama, Biden, Clinton, Holder, Gates, Geithner, Napolitano and the rest of his Cabinet for also being incumbants. Populism means NOTHING!

Are you really asking Callista, someone you don't know where she stands in a rating you created in your mind?

You are comparing to women whom desire as much time in the limelight, in front of a camera as they can get. Two women with no clue about anything other than the garbage they make up, the hate they spew, and a desire to be wealthy and famous at any cost.

I have no doubt Callista is insulted to be compared to Palin who thinks she can look out her window and see Putin walking around..She sees Russia and communist everwhere and must shoosh them away. She doesn't know the difference between a continent and a country and doesn't want to learn. Bachemann is just plain old insane. She to sees Communist everwhere and is out to capture them..Wants people to slit their wrists and become blood brothers and sisters..Wow!

What's disturbing is the fact that nearly half of the private wealth in this country has recently been appropriated by the federal government, and we can no longer truthfully call ourselves a free republic anymore. Treasure your ability to trash-talk government officials while you can, Callista. In the America Obama envisions, free speech will be a thing of the past.

No, the wealth has been redistributed from the average working American to big business and the uber wealthy by the GOP. Mythical reagan and "W" were the greatest tolls of implementation. Free speech will not be a thing of the past. Stop the lies and myths being perpetrated by the RWNj's. Please learn to think for yourself!

I've been thinking for myself a long time, Callista. And the amount of money that has now been appropriated by the American government is now at 48%, if you add in the 16% that will be taken with the universal health care system. It's a matter of public record, and it's been on the news for the past week, if you've been watching. Although, perhaps you prefer to make up--I mean, think--things for yourself. You're living in a dream world, Callista. Wake up.

Sounds like this woman is uber paranoid for no godamn good reason. Some people can't embrace change - and it would be change for the good in my opinion!

Once upon a time, a country was going through some hard times and decided to embrace change. The year was 1934, and the "savior" bringing the change was named Adolf Hitler. I'm not comparing Obama to Hitler here. I'm merely saying that change isn't always good, and it should *always* be thoroughly examined before it is undertaken. It's interesting that you used the word "uber" to describe Michele Bachmann's "paranoia," since it's a German word. Maybe if a few more Germans had been uber paranoid about the sort of change Hitler had in mind, he wouldn't have come to power in the first place.

Obama is NOT trying to wipe out a whole nation of people - he is trying to clean up the mess he was left with - and NO one could do that in 12 mos. the mess is to enormous. I really don't know what the answer is, just glad we finally have an intelligent person to try to do it, unlike the mess that caused this. Do you personally have any suggestions? I don't think getting in the way of productivity is the answer - unless you or the person trying to get in the way has a better answer.
  • Lucy fo... Toby November 13, 2009 19:31:15

Of *course* Obama is not trying to wipe out a whole nation of people. That's why I said, "I'm not comparing Obama to Hitler here." What I *was* saying was that when a person rides in on a white horse saying they've got the answer to your problems, the time to question whether or not their "change" is going to be a good thing is *before* the change in question takes place. With the nationalization of the banks and car manufacturers via the bailout, the nationalization of health care would allow the government to appropriate another 16 percent of this country's private wealth. The American Constitution was written to protect people from government, not to allow government to run roughshod over a populace weakened by the poverty that it itself created. Michele Bachmann has every right to be concerned about a president trying everything in his power to ram a bill down our throats before we have a chance to even question the consequences, and as long as this country is free enough to allow people to gather peacefully in protest, she has every right to urge us to do so, and we have every right to do it.

I personally welcome a change to the Health Care System - it's broken. You should watch the movie Zeitgeist if you think anything is different here since the Federal Reserve has had the Wealth all along and "our" System is designed for us to be indebt to our Government.

If you think anything's *not* different here, ask the people from Canada and other nations why they're lining up to come to the U.S. for routine operations that they would have to wait months or years for to get in their own country?

I can't afford it, either. A couple years ago, I had a botched gallbladder surgery that sent me to the cardiac wing for a whole week. The surgery ended up costing $150,000, bankrupting me and my husband. Even before the surgery, my daily medication did and still costs me more than $500 a month. I've read enough history to know, however, that Socialism never ends pretty, and when the government takes over health care sector, it will have appropriated nearly half of the private wealth in this country. We can no longer truthfully call ourselves a free republic anymore, and that scares me more than the thought of paying for my prescriptions out of my own pocket. I'm concerned about the future generations of this country being able to live free from a government that seems bent on running every single aspect of our lives, and if that means I personally have to suffer, so be it. The Constitution was written to *limit* government, not to give it free reign to rule. If I was in favor of universal health care simply because I don't have the money to pay for my own insurance, not only would it be selfish, but in my view it would be dishonoring the men (and women) who fought, 233 years ago, to make this country free in the first place. I disagree with Obama's policies because they go against everything our founding fathers stood for, and as a patriotic American, I can't support them. I live in the freest country in the world (at least for now), and in this country, with unlimited opportunity, my husband and I can work hard and get back on our feet again. I am blessed with determination, a strong work ethic, and the love of God and my family. All I want is for the government to get out of my way. In the words of Ben Franklin: "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

I don't think the point is for Government to control Health Care - but to make it more affordable for everyone - although the new bill has to be written correctly. From what I understand he wants everyone to be able to get the same plan Congress has which is really a great plan - but so many people are fearful and the reform has been rewritten a couple times - it definitely needs reform not owned by Government - just a better plan for all Americans. I really don't like the way the laws are now - Foreigners have it better in America than Americans as far as Health Care - why should we pay for them and not our own?

Republicans don't mind that Palin goes to communist countries such as China and spews hate for the United States. Can you imagine a democrat going there telling those people that our government has death panels, telling them that we the United States have no intentios of repaying all the money Bush borrowed from them..

No one incited violence, she merely asked us to speak to our reps, you know, the people we hired to be our voices.

If you are alright with government claiming and taking control of nearly half the American economy, maybe you should move to a nice communist country, like Cuba, where the government can take care of you and keep you from having to make any difficult decisions for your self.

Any one comfortable with this takeover of our economy should read the Constitution again. What is happening in DC is the total opposite of what this country was created to be. Allowing this unconstitutional move by the Obama administration is treason, in my opinion.
