Michael Moore’s latest ad encouraging Obamabots to burn America down if Romney wins. Should Moore be arrested and prosecuted for trying to incite others to commit crimes?

Famous or infamous people should not be encouraging Democrats to riot. Some people lack self control and intelligence. If you bringing your rioters to our house, Michael Moore, we are armed and ready for scum like you.

He's a sick piece of trash. It's no better than the Benghazi video that the left has claimed incited violence and arrested its maker for. His using elderly and children in his hate filled rants is disgusting. I volunteer in nursing homes and I have never heard any of the elderly say a dirty word and if you did they would be disappointed. I guess it paid well for them to sell themselves out.

He certainly uses his freedom of speech, but that does also mean he takes responsibility for what he says.

What the 1st amendment says is : "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

The 1st amendment basically prohibits the government to limit freedom of speech. It never says that an individual can say whatever he likes without fear of being sued or arrested.

Patrick, That's it EXACTLY ... Thanks for pointing that out. A lot of people don't quite understand that there are nuances surrounding their interpretations of the 1st amendment, & there can be consequences due to the collateral results of our speech.

yet most do exactly that; I find after having fought for freedom that most misinterpret the word and Moore is no different is he? sagging pants

example of freedom at large; men at one time would not dream of exposing themselves like this but now because of freedom they do it with total abandon. freedom is a very misinterpreted word

You are very right.... The counterpart of real freedom is responsibility.

    Mr. T
You honestly believe that a man who makes controversial documentaries for a living would not be aware of that limitation on his free speech?

Of course he was aware. You can tell because the video contains about five EIGHTY PLUS YEAR OLD GRANDPARENTS MAKING THE "THREAT" TO COCKPUNCH SOMEONEONE.

It's called humor. And it won't create a riot.

What you're missing is what came out of Michael Moores pie hole. Forget the video for a minute.
Michael Moore: "If Obama loses, I say we riot everywhere in America."
That's the one that Moore needs to worry about.
  • Mr. T CommieH... 2012/11/06 21:45:00
    Mr. T
There is absolutely no chance that any prosecutor would ever attempt to try prove the causation element between that quote and someone's actual riot.

Although there is a fine line between celebrating and rioting.

Yep, now that the ignorant masses got their Lord Oblameo back in, & they're going to get all their FREE HANDOUTS, there's no reason for them to riot.

LOL...you conservatives...can't take a little humor, is that it?

I see no proof that Moore had anything to do with it, and it wouldn't surprise me if some radical right-wingers were the ones who put this together to discredit Democrats, Obama, and the elderly, who the extreme right is trying to keep from voting in various states.

I see MoveOn.org at the end, but no where Moore's name is mentioned.

And, it still could have been put together by the right, and adding the MoveOn.org logo at the end.

Go to the MoveOn.org website and browse through the feature called "The best progressive material on the web". Finding the video there - as I did - doesn't really strongly implicate Michael Moore and isn't even conclusive proof of MoveOn's involvement, but it's certainly good enough proof of the latter for me and I'll accept it as adequate evidence of Moore's involvement until I see something credible alleging he denies involvement..

If inciting riots, which is only illegal if it turns into a riot, is against the law. Then 80% of your neoconservatives on Sodahead would be in jail.

Where is the proof that Michael Moore made that?
