Mexico leader says US shares blame for drug violence; Agree or Disagree?

Illegal drugs cause more harm than under decriminilization/legalization. Alcohol is a worse drug than many of the illegal drugs in regard to harming others the user effects do to the effects of the drug.
Progress can be made in regard to lessening drug violence/gang wars and drug related crimes if we stop drug prohibition. Remember about alcohol prohibition and Alcapone

If we end the drug war than druggies can get their fix and be productive members of society without resorting to crime and theft do to the inflated price of drugs. We already often see druggies can be productive via them often producing artistic works such as music and touring the country for that purpose. If the argument is that we must protect drug users from themselves- well ending the drug war would lessen the harm drugs do. Users would not have to get infected by overusing dirty needles that were hard to come by. They will be less likely to OD do to inconsistent drug quality ect. And we can treat their addiction as a health problem- just like with alcohol.
