I don't celebrate christmas. I am a Christian. Nowhere in the entire Bible will you find anything that remotely teaches to remember Jesus' birthday. Christmas is primarily a secular holiday even alot of athiests celebrate christmas. But hey to each his own. What ever floats your boat.

In my family the holiday season runs from Thanksgiving Day until January 6th every year. We'll say Happy Holidays during this entire time. On Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years we will say Happy or Merry for the particular holiday. For us it has nothing to do with being PC. We have done ever since i can remember back to 1950!

Christmas is about Christ. Happy Holidays, although can be any holiday, even valentines day.
  • The more we accept PC the more we will see all of our old traditions fade away

If someone says "Happy holidays" to me I will ALWAYS say "Merry Christmas" back to them, giving them the message that it's NOT okay with me to replace "Merry Christmas" w/"Happy Holidays" to be P.C.!
If it's just that it isn't Christmas yet~ I don't get upset if people say "Happy Holidays" in that they're wishing me a Merry Christmas AND a Happy New Year... but I will still say "MERRY CHRISTMAS" back! And please people...... for the love of God... literally....... please stop putting "Merry Xmas" in writing as a Christmas greeting - that really just commercializes it and leaves 'Christ' OUT - when that's the whole true meaning!!
I say Merry Christmas deal with it gif

I say Merry Christmas. I am old, I am a Christian.

If someone wishes me a happy holiday, I say 'thank you'.

The 'War on Christmas' is a bunch of malarkey designed by reichwing propagandists to elicit knee jerk reactions out of mental midgets.

God is more powerful than man. No man can take Christ out of Christmas.

Oh, and for the record, December 25th was a pagan holiday converted by the early Church. Jesus was probably born in the spring.

If it starts with HAPPY and ends with a smile, I'll take it. Doesn't matter to me at all how it's presented. It's the thought that counts.

It's always, Merry Christmas from me. Yes it is a holiday of sorts, but it is designated to our savior Jesus Christ, and therefor named, Christmas in honor of his birth.

I can also say that, along the line of the other choice about being politically correct with how American traditions and holidays are, that the more we become PC, some may just fade away, and I don't like that because most of we Americans have raised our children to believe in God and Jesus Christ ( especially at Christmas time and Easter ), but we have other holidays, that other nationality wants to take away, simply because the don't like our American traditions. Take 4th of July, and even possibly Halloween, and Halloween there is no evil behind it, but there are nationalities and church denominations, that feel it is evil. I say give it a rest, and let little kids have a fun day to collect Halloween goodies. Schools have stopped these types of things, because kids of parents of other nationalities don't like it or are offended due to their beliefs. They don't have to participate, and let us keep the traditions we have with all American holidays.

    Merry Christmas is my default.

Happy New Year for both New Years to the few Asian friends and family that I know don't do Christmas. Many Asians are Christian and more yet do Christmas just for fun.

Happy Chanukah to known Jewish friends and associates. If you're Jewish and I don't know it and you get a "Merry Christmas" and give me a "Happy Chanukah" back, we both score an extra holiday.

I think this year "Happy Holidays" people are going to hear "Bah Humbug" back.
