MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Faith,♥ Maranatha! 2009/11/27 14:08:50
I know it is politically incorrect to say that today, because Christmas has the name of Christ in it.But think about it. How would you like it if on your birthday no one wanted to acknowledge your birthday and only wanted to celebrate just a holiday?
Dec 24th Jesus Christ was born! The greatest story ever told! He was born for you and for me!God's Son. A King is born. Not in a palace, but in a lowly stable, humble and meek. God the Creator, Christ The Lord. A King was born! He came. Why? To set us free from the bondage of sin!
He didn't come for His self to have wealth and pleasures of this world. He came unselfishly to die on a cruel old roughed cross to give His life for the sins of the world. To defeat satan. To buy back our souls from satan..Amen a Savior was born Christ the Lord!
God always keeps His promises! This promise was made way by 2000 years before the birth of Christ in Isaiah 53. :3-12 He was despised and rejected by men, A man of sorrows and aquainted with grief. And we hid our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
4. Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows;Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted,
5.But He was wounded for our transgressions,He was bruised for our iniquities,The chastiment for our peace was upon Him And by His stripes are we healed;
6.All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned everyone,to his on way;And the Lord has laid upon Him the inquity of us all.
And you know,we are still despising Him today, we are still rejecting Him today!
God is going to keep His promise that His Son is Coming Again! to take all who have accepted Him home and judge the world! So get ready God keeps His promises! Please be ready! And MERRY CHRISTMAS
You!

Hey there, I got this e-mail today and thought it was perfect for this thread. Long, but very appropriate. It puts all the rants in perspective. Peace, and dare I say, Merry Christmas to all!

And yes, that e-mail should've been included (no coffee yet!) Here goes:

Letter from Jesus about Christmas –

    Dear Children,

It has come to my attention that many of you are upset that folks are taking My name out of the season. Maybe you've forgotten that I wasn't actually born during this time of the year and that it was some of your predecessors who decided to celebrate My birthday on what was actually a time of pagan festival, although I do appreciate being remembered anytime.

How I personally feel about this celebration can probably be most easily understood by those of you who have been blessed with children of your own. I don't care what you call the day. If you want to celebrate My birth, just GET ALONG AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

Now, having said that let Me go on. If it bothers you that the town in which you live doesn't allow a scene depicting My birth, then just get rid of a couple of Santas and snowmen and put in a small Nativity scene on your own front lawn. If all My followers did that there wouldn't be any need for such a scene on the town square because there would be many of them all around town.

Stop worrying about the fact that people are calling the tree a holiday tree, instead of a Christmas tree. It was I who made all trees. You can remember Me anytime you see...

If all My followers did that there wouldn't be any need for such a scene on the town square because there would be many of them all around town.

Stop worrying about the fact that people are calling the tree a holiday tree, instead of a Christmas tree. It was I who made all trees. You can remember Me anytime you see any tree. Decorate a grape vine if you wish: I actually spoke of that one in a teaching, explaining who I am in relation to you and what each of our tasks were. If you have forgotten that one, look up John 15: 1 - 8.

If you want to give Me a present in remembrance of My birth here is my wish list. Choose something from it:

    1. Instead of writing protest letters objecting to the way My birthday is being celebrated, write letters of love and hope to soldiers away from home. They are terribly afraid and lonely this time of year. I know, they tell Me all the time.

    2. Visit someone in a nursing home. You don't have to know them personally. They just need to know that someone cares about them.

    3. Instead of writing George complaining about the wording on the cards his staff sent out this year, why don't you write and tell him that you'll be praying for him and his family this year. Then follow up. It will be nice hearing from you again.

    4. Instead of giving your children a lot of gifts you can't afford and they don't need, spend time with them. Tell them the story of My birth, and why I came to live with you down here. Hold them in your arms and remind them that I love them.

    5. Pick someone that has hurt you in the past and forgive him or her.

    6. Did you know that someone in your town will attempt to take their own life this season because they feel so alone and hopeless? Since you don't know who that person is, try giving everyone you meet a warm smile; it could make the difference.

    7. Instead of nit picking about what the retailer in your town calls the holiday, be patient with the people who work there. Give them a warm smile and a kind word. Even if they aren't allowed to wish you a "Merry Christmas" that doesn't keep you from wishing them one. Then stop shopping there on Sunday. If the store didn't make so much money on that day they'd close and let their employees spend the day at home with their families

    8. If you really want to make a difference, support a missionary-- especially one who takes My love and Good News to those who have never heard My name.

    9. Here's a good one. There are individuals and whole families in your town who not only will have no "Christmas" tree, but neither will they have any presents to give or receive. If you don't know them, buy some food and a few gifts and give them to the Salvation Army or some other charity which believes in Me and they will make the delivery for you.

    10. Finally, if you want to make a statement about your belief in and loyalty to Me, then behave like a Christian. Don't do things in secret that you wouldn't do in My presence. Let people know by your actions that you are one of mine.

Don't forget; I am God and can take care of Myself. Just love Me and do what I have told you to do. I'll take care of all the rest. Check out the list above and get to work; time is short. I'll help you, but the ball is now in your court. And do have a most blessed Christmas with all those whom you love and remember:
    I LOVE YOU, JESUS

Faith, do not let me even attempt to persuade you to change your ways.

I'm going to do as I see fit, and I've always been a firm believer of letting a fool choose the length of their ropes, stand by as they tie it around their necks, and let them hang themselves if they so choose. You see, as an American I believe in everyones right to be a damn fool.

PS: I'm glad that you liked my photo. ;o)

I wasn't ranking YOU in any way, shape, or form. ;o)

Great! I would love to own a lot of land in the country! I heard an economist giving advice about the future. And he said that the best way to survive is to live in the country, grow your own food.I have 7 chickens. And I had a garden this year in my small backyard.

You know I was just thinking about your statement. The Day of the Lord. Yes there is a Day of the Lord, and that is the great Day of Judgement. When all unbelievers stand before the Lord. Wow! Thanks for that insight!

Christmas is supposed to be the birth of Christ. Though it isn't. But that's another story all together. Jesus was God, but He was born a man. Jesus as God had no beginning at all.

Amen Rick! It is much more that just a birth of a baby in a manger. Yet unbelievers just don't understand that! It is something that the christians celebrate in a way the secular world just doesn't understand and never will until the Judgment.

They confuse the incarnation of God in Christ with the birth of Jesus as the beginning. We know He has always existed as the eternally begotten Son of God. It took me a while to understand that unbelievers see what they want to see. That's why Jesus said to shake the dust from our feet. It's not that WE don't care...It's that they don't care.

Oh my gosh! My favorite preacher. I love his preaching and teaching! I watched him Sunday night. His sermon was "Are you sleeping with a goat?"And how words can hurt.It was great!!
I love his prophetic teaching! He ties the Old Testament with the New Testament in prophesy. He has brought out scripture all the way back to Gensis in prophesy. I would love to go to one of his crusades. He is up there close to you isn't he?

He said he went to school in Big Stone Gap Virginia. That's two miles from where my grandparents lived. And I went to school in Norton Virginia for a year in High School. That's twelve miles from there. We saw him in Northern Kentucky and Middletown Ohio. Next is Columbus. But he is based in Cleveland Tennessee now. So it will be my third time. In the last one we were in the third row. I have the DVD of the service. It was awesome!

Very true. The seed of the Woman (Jesus) will crush the the seed of the serpent (antichrist). I believe you can build a very strong case that the Antichrist will be the literal son of Satan. Kind of a Rosemary's baby type scenario. I got Perry Stone's DVD on "Evil Spirits and Giants in the Bible." Another awesome video.
