really put too much stock in what he claims, as I believe in changes with the flow of
the winds. He is not a real conservative, after the way he used Palin, the true light was
put on his motives.

Excuse me, but much as I respect McCain's service to this country, his five years of "mistreatment" (true torture, nothing like the sleep deprivation, loud noises and waterboarding that three al Qaeda captives were subjected to) gives him no "unique authority", nor any "authority" whatsoever, to decide whether or not enhanced interrogation resulted in information that was useful to the CIA in tracking Osama bin Laden.
McCain has been "leaning across the aisle" for so long they should get him a seat over there!

Belief is not proof.
Either way, I believe McCain. I empathize with his experience under detention, but I firmly believe ANYONE would crack under the appropriate and adequate torture and/or chemical influence eventually or die.
