McCain: National Security Leaks Special Probe Essential

doofiegirl POTL~PWCM~JLA 2012/06/12 01:02:43
Sen. John McCain is pressing the case for a special outside counsel over recent White House security leaks, even as President Barack Obama says it is “offensive” and “wrong” to claim his White House would deliberately leak sensitive information for political gain.

The president says his administration has “zero tolerance” for the leaking of sensitive information. He says he has sought investigations of security leaks in the past and will continue to do so.

McCain, on Fox News’ Sean Hannity program, accused the Obama White House of leaking the information to bolster the president's standing on national security in an election year.

Lawmakers have raised alarms following media reports on White House policy on the highly classified targeting of al-Qaida militants by drones and raids and the deploying of a cyber weapon.

I’m happy to hear that McCain of all people is pressing for this and obama should be ashamed of himself if it turns out to be true.

Democrats want nothing to do with a special prosecutor. If it is a Republoican involved then they are all over the place. How many remember the Scooter Libby debacle? Dems jumped and pounced all over Cheneys boy. This is now news of top secret proportions and the dems are scared to death it will lead to the front door of the WH. The New York Times think it is great story and put about 20 pages back in their left wing rag. When the story of Romneys 50 plus year prank from high school broke they were all over page one of the NYT racist baiting paper.

An outside council is the only thing I'd trust, I do NOT trust the Obama White House to do what's right, all they'll want to do is cover Obama's butt and their own too.

He is correct. The info. was leaked to make Obama look tough on terror.....which he is certainly not. They are desperate and care not about putting the security of our country at risk. They must all go!

He just must tell the truth sometime, surely. This guy is working as hard as he can to destroy America, and if security leaks will help along that road, he'll leak security information, deny it, and Congress will not investigate it, because they won't want anyone to know they're in collusion with him.

and Obummer is scared to death that if he rids Holder from the admin then he, Holder will let loose with many of the hidden stories that Republicans can't get answers to.

McCain is %100 correct here. There is obviously something wrong involved with this issue involving the leaks and it absolutely must be addressed. And we already know that Holder is far to biased and in Odamba's back pocket to ever be impartial. Obama is what is "offensive" and "wrong." The only thing Odumba has zero tolerance for is people actually looking at his pathetic failure of a record as the liar in chief.

Essential is the appropriate word here. The leaks must be stopped, regardless of the outcome. But the investigation had better be fair and just and not simply some poor scapegoat ruined for life for the "cause."

"President Barack Obama says it is “offensive” and “wrong” to claim his White House would deliberately leak sensitive information for political gain."

Yea, well then do something about the renegades you have running your office. Unless the NY Times has a bug in the Oval office they are getting their information from somebody within the administration. another great reason to change management and clean the leaker's out. Release of this information is no less a security risk then what the guy who leaked info to Wiki Leaks did and should be prosecuted.

It would be normal in any other administration to find the leak, as well as for the president to deny any involvement by his administration.
