Mayor of Pomona California disrespects spectators at Fairplex Kaboom 4th fireworks show!!

July 4th 2012, the Mayor of Pomona California, Mr Elliot Rothman, attended the "KABOOM" Fireworks show at the LA County Fairgrounds Fairplex located in the City of Pomona California. As it turned out, the event had OVER SOLD tickets to the combination Monster truck, motocross, and fireworks show, leaving hundreds of paid spectators scrambling to find seats for the event well past the start of the show! Many of the event staffing employees stated the event was over sold to the point they were having trouble moving folks out of the isles and walkways. Several staff employees told visitors that at some point the event would open an area below the grandstand up to relieve the overcrowded general admission seating area, but not until after the motorsports portion of the show had concluded. The area they would use as overflow was a "designated smoking" area, but no seats were provided. A witness at the event was in the designated smoking area prior to the move and found several folding chairs against the wall unused and opened 3 of the seats for his family. An event staffer came to them and informed them the chairs were not for the publics use and moved them away. Shortly afterward, three people walked into the same area, took the same 3 folding chairs and seated themselves. When the staffer was asked why they were able to seat themselves and not the family, the staffer informed them one of the 3 was the Mayor of the city, Mr. Elliot Rothman. When the father of the family wanted to know why the mayor could do whatever he wanted, the mayor presented his middle finger to the spectator and mumbled an obscenity! Luckily the father had his camera out to catch the elected official in the act of disrespect! This is also the same person that was arrested in his city for DUI at a local checkpoint in 2008 which followed a scandal involving the firing of the cities chief of police!
