Golanv (Raven) BN0 2012/08/17 00:35:50Alcohol, please comment+6Alcohol destroys people's lives and can kill. Marijuana has never caused death, it heals glaucoma, nausea, chronic pain and can be used for fuel and building materials, paper, clothing, you name it. Pretty easy question to answer.

Pot is almost as bad because of the effects on the brain. I know people who can't remember anything because of the amount of pot they smoked in thier youth. Pot contriutes to general apathy. If we fully legalize pot I believe our country will finish going down the tubes.
When I did smoke I prefered Sativa(like White Widow) over Indica. The Indica based weed was a couch lock and made me a bit paranoid.
I enjoy a glass of Red Wine some now, the laws are too scary
Is great either, but I know two people close to me where it's ruined their life because there is some notion that it is harmless, a underground support group of pot users that think they are great because they all love pot so much. The first one was my first serious boyfriend- I thought he would stop, or grow up- he became dependant on it to deal with stress, boredom, to visit his parents....became depressed with the thought of not using it everyday. Couldn't focus on school work, put off priorities....began losing memory! I hated the stuff, but tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. Not one of his pot smoking friends did anything worthwhile with themselves! I ended it since we were going in different directions. It was a shame too because he was so smart. The other guy married my sister, became an addictive pot smoker, and is SO dumb now. Can't hold a real conversation to save his life....anxiety filled when he's not on it. Can't cope with life either. Pot may seem harmless, but seriously, it creates people who can't cope with being "normal". So sad. The one alcoholic I knew close to me, my other sister's husband (both sister's dumped the guys because the guys refuses to quit), turned into a train wreck too. End conclusion: just because you have one hungry bear in your back yard, doesn't mean you should invite a starving tiger into your yard too. One problem creates enough problems.
It's Hempfest Weekend this weekend! I will be there (except for Saturday night - I'm going to see Norah Jones).
