‘Manmade Climate Warming’ Maybe Responsible for Heat, Storm ?

~ The Rebel ~ 2012/07/02 19:40:19

The Washington Post considers the heat wave and derecho thunderstorm that hit the Washington, D.C. area on Friday and wonders what role “manmade climate warming” might have played.

“As the intensity of the heat wave, without reservation, was a key factor in the destructiveness of this derecho event – it raises the question about the possible role of manmade climate warming (from elevated greenhouse concentrations),” the Post writes (emphasis added). “It’s a complicated, controversial question, but one that scientists will surely grapple with in case studies of this rare, extraordinary event.”

Climate change is a long-term process. One summer, one winter, and one unusual weather pattern does not mean that mankind is the cause.
When our politicians decide to take extraordinary steps to "reverse" global warming, we should all be very scared.

The weather is getting crazier every year, worldwide. There is a lot of variability unrelated to greenhouse gasses, true, but that does not mean that CO2 played no role here. Chances are it was a factor.
Throughout history, each generation tried to leave a better world for the generations that were to follow. Will we be the first to say no, because we don't want to pay for it?

We should be scared of any politician who says we should not even try to reverse it.

How do you propose to reverse it? Drop a bomb into a volcano to create a huge cloud over the earth (that has been proposed, bellieve it or not!).
Climate change is a long-term process; we have fluctuated between warming and cooling since the earth's formation. We could wipe the human population off the face of the earth and there would still be climate warming and cooling.
Greenland was truly a green land with trees rather than ice a mere 1200 years ago. Today, it is glacial.

The horse aint dead. Global warming is real. And one of the ways it manifests itself is in changing the jet streams. That is what led to the record cold in Europe. Global warming experts have said it will produce weather extremes of all kinds. Just like what we are getting.

Rrrrriiiigggghhhhtttt . Gets hot = global warming , Gets cold = global warming ,
Glaciers growing = global warming , Glaciers shrinking = global warming . Nothing happens at all = global warming . Sunrises in the east and that's more proof .
All the exposed lies , faked data , leaked Emails ignore that man behind the curtain .
UN even put out a report that the earth is a 30 year cooling cycle , Then claimed that was proof of Global warming .

The only cure for global warming is billions of dollars funneled to corruption at the UN and Politicos . Just ask 'em , no cure that don't involve them Cashing in Big Bucks.

I saw it. We are warmer now than we were then. But that story is real. I did not think so at first, but it checks out.

I have no doubt that man has contributed to some of the climate change we are beginning to experience. What I disagree with is how any TAX or scheme by the government (and others) will help the situation. Each of the plans are only setup as a method to make someone richer, give government more power, and make the common people poorer.

Here's a thought... shut down the HAARP facilities worldwide!!!
(Or there is a God and He's not too happy with DC?)

    ======================

The Post does not provide evidence for its assertion, but the paper does detail the weather conditions:

Between 9:30 and 11 p.m. Friday night, one of the most destructive complexes of thunderstorms in memory swept through the entire D.C. area. Packing wind gusts of 60-80 mph, the storm produced extensive damage, downing hundreds of trees, and leaving more than 1 million area-residents without power.
