I'm pretty sure all that would have done was given him the runs, which I guess could have made him crazy?

Anyone who ingests, inhales, or in any other manner uses chemicals to get "high" is crazy. What will it take to teach people those things are harmful to your health and the health of the people around you?

When you harm someone, or anything else, after taking any drug or chemical it is a deliberate act on your part to do that and it should be no defense against any legal action which is taken against you as a result. This person should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for any offence that he has committed, and so should the party who sold the chemicals to him.

They should ban such bath salts and similar products from the market.

They can't. There not actually bath salts (that's what they call them) and the chemists who make it constantly change the ingredients to stay ahead of the law. Ridiculous isn't it?!?!

I am not sure if I understood well.
Do you think that it is some new drug driving people crazy? I heard of one causing cannibalism, but there is a chronic lack of specifications, and one does not know what to believe. I only heard lately about "bath salt" cases (and no indication about compositions); there were no details, and there is not enough concrete information about what was really ingested or inhaled by the protagonists.
Is it possible that forbidden substances were consumed, rather than a current product? Thank you for your clarification.

    ambulance

Yup. 7 years in EMS folks.....and everyone of my stories containing bath salts goes along the same lines as this. CRAZY. Don't do bath salts, it's not a good high, you'll end up in grand mal seizures and in some cases die. Or you might kill someone else in a psychotic rage. Take it from me...it's not worth it. I'm 100% tired of seeing this on the streets.

The officers are always in the wrong arresting humans. Why you ask? The perfect Jesus never arrested anyone for anything. Even the humans he drove out of the temple he did not arrest. Arresting is the devils idea to try, and make one human that is born, and dies to seem to be worse than another human that is born, and dies.
