Every time I read an article about Lost Angeles, it reinforces my decision to walk away from that sh!thole in 1990 and never look back.
It's not just L.A..... it's the entire 5 county area of SoCal and anything close to the bay area.
Hopefully there's enough sane people in that state to fight back this November.

They can begin by voting for Star Parker in the Carson district.

This is a symptom of leftwing kool-aid overdose, making it impossible to distinguish "down" from "up."

Leadership would be the mayor calling up his dept. head and saying - don't send the bill.

Glad I live in a state with good Samaritan laws that protect the people that try to help people.

It's well on it's way, the budget deficits, and surrounding towns filling for chapter 11, the signs are not good.

And Los Angeles .. CA .. wonders why folks are leaving in droves ..
and NEVER want to ever return ...
(I was never so thrilled as the day I got orders OUT of that hell-hole called South CA .. didn't even look back)

NOW they charge you a FEE ..
even when you are the victim of a crime ..
even when you are helping out ..
    GOOD GRIEF ..

    Money-hungry .. blood vampires ..
(Glad my little rural town is not like this .. )

In my mind, a good deed shouldn't have a bill to go with it.

Precisely, and the other 4 people injured in the crash shouldn't be billed for transportation and EMT services either.
That's what people pay property and local taxes for and why should the city or county billi when the Ambulance leaves the station like somebody ordered a Taxi?

I guess the next step is charging $10.00 per 911 call and installing meters on all police vehicles and fire trucks,.

Where I live, people never think to bill you if you HELP someone in need. As I know first aid and have no issues helping someone if they need it, is this common in the United States?! lol

It didn't used to be, but cities are starting to nickle & dime people because they're running huge deficits and some have filed for bankruptcy.

All those huge salaries, pensions, and expense accounts are coming back to bite them.
