This has to be the dumbest idea I've seen floated out of the GOP in the last year, but they've done it. They've gone with a VP that's way worse than Romney and now they think they've got a chance in hell.

See you in four years, guys.

EDIT: New data has emerged from FOX NEWS about the RYAN budget plan.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/08/14/fact-check-ryan-bu...

"Ryan's proposal calls for cutting the corporate tax rate from 35
percent to 25 percent. It would implement two individual income tax
brackets -- 10 percent and 25 percent.

While claims that Ryan is slashing the budget are questionable, there
are studies to back up claims that the Republicans' tax plans benefit
the wealthy more than others.

A June study from the Joint Economic Committee -- which is chaired by
a Democrat -- claims middle-class married couples could pay at least an
extra $1,300 under Ryan's plan, while those earning more than $1
million a year could see a nearly $290,000 cut.

According to an Aug. 1 study released by the Tax Policy Center,
Romney's tax plan would also include cuts that "predominantly favor
upper-income taxpayers."

It projected taxpayers making more than $1 million would see tax cuts
averaging $175,000. Those making between $75,000 and $100,000 would see
an average tax cut of $1,800. And those making under $30,000 would see
an average increase of $130, according to the report."

So what is Biden's budget plan? Since the dependency party only seems concerned with the person who is not at the top of the ticket, they must be planning on Biden producing Obama's budget. Oh that's right! The dependency party has yet to pass a budget since Wonder Mutt has been president. Hard to have a debate on the issues when the other side is to scared to put their agenda on the table.

    Poor argument.

Ryan is the one that's KNOWN for his budget arguments.

We all know WHY they haven't been able to pass a budget. Who was it that held up EVERYTHING until TAX CUTS were extended? Not the Dems, my friend.

The GOP has been blocked everything that the Dems try to push. It's gotten so bad that the Dems have, on occasion, just decide not to show anything to the GOP because they KNOW it'll be rejected.

The GOP has no willingness to work with the Dems on ANYTHING. That's why this CONGRESS has the worst approval records ever.

NOTHING. They can't even let a budget pass. Obviously, the Democrats were hard at work for the people, though, and you can't argue that. Republicans spent their last FOUR YEARS trying to ruin Obama and nothing much else.

Unless you want to talk about abortion and contraception rights, I'm not sure what the GOP has had a hand in recently.

So what you are admitting is the dependency party passed everything it wanted, and yet unemployment is still above 8%, the national debt has grown to 16 Trillion, Health insurance premiums rose 14%, the annual deficit has yet to be under 1 Trillion dollars. Good job, the dependency party is right on track for ruining the nation in under two terms, what an accomplishment.

By the way the dependency party controlled both Houses of congress from 2007-2011.
  • captain... Reichstolz 2012/08/27 18:48:08

I'm talking the first two years of the Obama administration. Why? Because it's a time where all three branches were under Dem control.

What you're saying is that the GOP, with 2 years of power has done nothing to improve anything in the country AT ALL. They've done NOTHING.

Unemployment is at a half percent increase from when Obama took over, and that's after losing over 4 million jobs. If anything, that's pretty impressive to recover in less than 4 years.

Aetna is one of many companies that have and will see their premiums drop under Obamacare. Keep trying to dole out the fear.

It's nice you complain about the deficit, but the Dems actually did something about that while they were in power. Or, you don't bother to read links anymore?

Yeah, your argument is grinding to a halt.

What has the GOP done for America in these last two years? NOTHING. Care to detail what they've accomplished?
  • Reichstolz captain... 2012/08/28 00:02:23
    Reichstolz
What two years of power, has the GOP controlled any branch of government? The answer is NO, they hold 1/2 of one branch, hardly enough power to do anything constructive.

Really and the 3 million less people in the workforce? Sorry but if you want an accurate comparison to the employment picture you have to look at the U6 number.

Yes they did something about it, they expanded the deficit.

They have stopped Obama from completely ruining the greatest nation on earth, quite an accomplishment.
  • captain... Reichstolz 2012/08/28 15:45:59
    captainquiggle
Woops... so the GOP couldn't do a damned thing when they got the Dems out of power. Nor did they even try to. How does that look to America? Not good.

You want to talk abotu u6 numbers? Are you serious? The U6 number is lower NOW than it was in Feb 2009... you know, that first month that Obama was in office. So, if anything, despite loosing 4 million jobs in the first year of his presidency, due to things he had no power over, he's held U6 numbers at a standstill.

In 2010, I've pointed out already the Dems closed deficit spending.

The GOP has done nothing. You've got very little to stand on. The GOP is a laughing stock of the American people, especially when it comes to Congress.
  • Reichstolz captain... 2012/08/28 15:50:55

Only control 1/2 of 1 branch. All they could do is stop the slide off the cliff.

Due to things he had no power over? Wow you are full of excuses for this vapid suit, good job!

Really, closed deficit spending by not passing a budget? The deficit is going down by 100 billion, at that rate, over the next 30 years we may stop spending more than we take in. His promise was to cut the deficit in HALF. Sorry but 100 billion out of 1.4 Trillion is not half. Maybe it is in dependency mantra, but not in reality.
  • captain... Reichstolz 2012/08/28 16:04:07

Please blame the recession on Obama. I'd love to see how that works.

I guess you've looked at the U6 numbers and concluded the same as I have. They aren't skyrocketing, as you once thought.

2010, look at that year and look at spending. You can complain that 100 billion isn't 500 billion or 700 billion, but it's a lot, especially compared with all the other stuff on his plate, he was still able to save 100 billion.

How that's not an accomplishment is beyond me. You can hem and haw in your glass tower atop your own personal mountain while you count your gold coins, now. Almost nap time, isn't it?
  • Reichstolz captain... 2012/08/28 16:10:21

Your "voter suppression" fears are unfounded, in my opinion. One of the most important Freedoms we have in this country is our Right and Privilege to vote! Are you trying to tell me that someone who does NOT have a proper I.D. cannot get one in order to fulfill that obligation?

I would say that IF someone is not willing to make a simple phone call and request the state to drive to them, take a picture and give them an instant I.D. card is probably not someone worthy of that privilege in the first place? Yes?

Well... it MUST go completely through the court system. But this, like others will ultimately get decided in the SCOTUS. Certainly Indiana sets a presitant on that so ANY lower court would be 'hard pressed' to overturn the decision of the 1st ruling. But that's.... Just my opinion!
  • captain... Old Salt 2012/08/16 00:08:07

When talking precedent set, it's on a state by state basis as certain states have totally different rules. Of course this will be held up until the SCOTUS votes on it, which is why I'm not really worried.

What do you mean, "held up?" Since there is a ruling, that's what the state MUST go by for the Judge absolutely refused to grant an "injunction" stay requested by the ACLU! Therefore, unless the Supreme Court of PA decides to reverse it, IT IS LAW!

No matter how 'liberal' that Philly judge might be, to reverse the decision of the lower court would not give just reason to reverse it, unless he were strictly acting on political grounds!
  • captain... Old Salt 2012/08/16 00:39:35
    captainquiggle
Oh, it's getting overturned. You wait and see.

Remember how everyone thought that Obamacare was illegal? Well, it wasn't. I was on the right side of the law then, and I will be with this issue.

All anyone has to do it prove that so many people are without an ID and can't get one in time.

Now, if there's some huge outreach and everyone gets an ID in time, I have not a problem in the world with that, but the state has to make an effort to make that happen. It's their job to make sure something they require to vote is as easy as possible to get.

If it isn't and the state doesn't make it such, guess what happens? Law overturned.

My goodness... you truly should "pat yourself on the back then" about obamacare, yes? NO... you should not! For the Supreme Court did indeed say it was illegal in the manner as to how it was presented to the public..... as part of the Commerce Clause! The Supreme Court declared that it was permissible as a TAX! So now obama is on Record with having the BIGGEST Tax Increase in American History by more than 123% of his closest competitor!

So… should you want to say that obamacare passed on its’ own merit… you would be wrong! It passed because we were told an absolute and complete LIE! :(

Captain... Im going to ask you to understand the LAW you are saying has NO CHANCE to pass! The Pennsylvania law, just like the South Carolina law mandates that State I.D.'s will be provided at NO EXPENSE to any individual who desires one! It even has provisions that require the State to drive to the residence of the needed individual with camera and photo I.D. material to present an I.D. on the spot!

Thus far in the entire state of South Carolina, 13 such request has been made and have received stated I.D. cards! Well... as of mid July! I believe that is when I read that story?

    LOL.

It's a tax in as much as you can't levy a penalty for people that legally don't want to have health care coverage.

Will it be the highest tax increase ever? Nope. that's a lie.

If you don't have health care and refuse to have it-- that's the only way you get hit with a tax as is argued by the court.

If you have health care, what Obamacare tax are you paying? Nothing.

To argue that illegals are voting when there's not proof of such would be to appeal to probability where you think that because IT COULD HAPPEN, it's will happen, even in the face of there being nothing to suggest that. You are arguing using a formal fallacy.
