If you have a question on SH then expect dissenting answers. Quit being a coward and blocking because people disagree with you.......

Some people just ask questions so they can hear people agree with it.
It also makes them look better if they make a post trying to disprove something a liberal (just as an example) said, and then block all liberals. 'Cause then they can go 'oh yeah, the liberals can't argue against my logic!'

I refrain judgement until I know what the question was and just what, exactly, your reply was.
I know I never block dissenters, but I do block those who are unnecessarily nasty and/or harassing everyone whose opinion is different from theirs.

I think most of the time a person who gets blocked was either trolling or has a profile that suggests his is an opinion the person doesn't want to hear. Certainly in politics and religion it is a matter of arguing rather than persuading anybody to agree. People are too dug in and only want affirmation for what they already believe. Either that of they think trolling is a sport and that it's okay to prowl around being rude.

The entirety of SodaHead should be blocked until we get America back on track.

We should all be writing our representatives and demanding they change their ways!

    Starting with a commentary by Paul Harvey circa 1965;

Some will remember the homespun, conservative ABC radio commentator
Paul Harvey. Millions of Americans listened to his news and commentary
broadcast over 1,200 radio stations nationwide during his lengthy
    career.

In one famous broadcast, first delivered April 3, 1965, he
considered how the devil might undermine the United States over time,
using a subtle and not-so-subtle, yet diabolical strategy.

”If I were the devil, if I were the Prince of Darkness, I
would want to engulf the whole world in darkness,” Harvey began, “and I
would have a third of its real estate and three-fourths of its
population, but I wouldn’t be happy until I had seized the ripest apple
on the tree, thee, so I would set about however necessary to take over
    the United States.”

Harvey predicted the devil would begin by undermining
religious institutions. “I’d subvert the churches first. I’d begin with a
campaign of whispers. With the wisdom of a serpent, I’d whisper to you
as I whispered to Eve, ‘Do as you please.’”

as I whispered to Eve, ‘Do as you please.’”

”To the young I would whisper that the Bible is a myth. I
would convince them that man created God, instead of the other way
around. I would confide that what is bad is good and what is good is
    ‘square.’”

He would cause seniors to believe that solutions to their
problems lie with the federal government. ”And the old I would teach to
pray after me, ‘Our Father, which art in Washington.’”

After this, the devil’s media campaign would begin. “Then I
would get organized. I’d educate authors in how to make lurid literature
exciting so that anything else would appear dull and uninteresting. I’d
threaten TV with dirtier movies and vice versa.”

”I’d peddle narcotics to whom I could. I’d sell alcohol to
ladies and gentlemen of distinction. I’d tranquilize the rest with
    pills.”

”If I were the devil, I’d soon have families at war with
themselves, churches at war with themselves, and nations at war with
themselves until each in its turn was consumed. And with promises of
higher ratings I’d have mesmerizing media fanning the flames.”

Then he would set his sights on the school system. “If I were
the devil, I would encourage schools to refine young intellects, but
neglect to discipline emotions — just let those run wild, until before
you knew it you’d have to have drug-sniffing dogs and metal detectors at
    every schoolhouse door.”

”Within a decade I’d have prisons overflowing. I’d have judges
promoting pornography. Soon I could evict God from the courthouse, and
then from the schoolhouse, and then from the houses of Congress.”

”And in His own churches I would substitute psychology for
religion and deify science. I would lure priests and pastors into
misusing boys and girls and church money.”

Even Christian holidays would lose their meaning. “If I were
the devil I would make the symbol of Easter an egg and the symbol of
    Christmas a bottle.”

”If I were the devil I would take from those who have and give
to those who wanted, until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious.
And what do you bet I couldn’t get whole states to promote gambling as a
    way to get rich.”

”I would caution against extremes in hard work, in patriotism, in moral conduct.”

Fewer young people would decide to get married. “I would
convince the young that marriage is old fashioned, that swinging is more
fun, that what you see on TV is the way to be, and thus I could undress
you in public, and I could lure you into bed with diseases for which
    there is no cure.”

”In other words, if I were the devil, I’d just keep right on doing what he’s been doing….Paul Harvey, good day.”
