Liz Trotta thinks women being raped in the Military is to be expected. Is she right?

No woman 'asks' to be raped. Any man that takes advantage of a woman with his penis deserves to be castrated!

Did not hear what she said and it does seem idiotic. However, it is also extremely naive to think that there are not dangerous situations in the military and stuff does happen. Wishing them away won't help. Acknowledging realities is a good thing. When I went through Basic training we were constantly told to be careful of our surroundings and watch out for each other. As a commander of a "co-ed" company, I was always aware of the possibilities and tried to prevent these situations.

It is to be expected? What is she a neanderthal? She is not right in any way. By saying it like that she might as well be condoning it. Not only that, but she makes it sound like those men have no control over themselves

I can't tell if this woman believes what she's ranting about or if she just gets paid to say provoking things. She appears to be saying that there's some kind of double standard when feminists say they believe women should be allowed to be soldiers on the front line and that these same women should not be sexually assaulted by their fellow soldiers.
I highly suspect that the man who she's speaking to has been instructed to give a seemingly contrary position so as to appear to be "fair and balanced". The reason I find it suspect is his use of the term "some would say"; that is the Fox News catch phrase.
Also, I can't help but wonder who she's smirking at off camera at the end; it's as if she and somebody in the room with her are having a laugh at the "controversy" they're starting. I now know where most of the crap comes from that people on sodahead are spouting off on, as if it's their own thoughts.

It's to be EXPECTED! That doesn't mean it's RIGHT. But you can hardly put women in front of men, have NO LIMITS on how they can flawtn their 'ASSETS' and expect men to NOT BE MEN!

Not only is she a blithering idiot, she seems to honestly lack a brain. If you've ever been raped, hearing anything along these lines is just... it infuriates me. The point of these "news" stories is to infuriate, simply so we can't think straight. Then we start drinking to blow off steam and end up wasting another night instead of playing music or scrabble or doing what we love, like slaying zombies.
